    “You’re a cute drunk.”

    "Tricia usually doesn’t sell them individually but I managed to talk her into it.  I thought maybe you could put it on your tree."

    "Bette, it’s beautiful."

    "I thought it would be a nice way to remember last night,"

    Bette blushed.  Little did the blonde know that Bette had indeed purchased an entire piece.  She thought it would be romantic to give Tina one glass ball at a time.  The brunette watched as Tina held the ball up to the light, fingering it gently, finding the subtle beauty in each carefully crafted color.  One day, when Tina received all of the individual colored balls and the set was complete, Bette hoped it would hang in their child’s nursery.  She wasn’t the type of woman to plan out her future in that way, but she could see one with the blonde; it was effortless.

    "It’s perfect."  Tina leaned over and kissed the brunette deeply.  "Thank you."

    "You’re welcome.  Here, let me take it for you," Bette took the box and placed in safely back on the shelf.

    Tina watched the ease in which Bette moved, "I love your body.  The slow, sensual, subtle way it moves. You’re so incredibly sexy."

    "I take it this is the horny aspect of your drunkenness?"

    Tina smiled crookedly, "How is it that I’m drunker than you?"

    "Because I nursed the same glass of champagne all night.  You had several."

    "I did not."  Tina pouted.

    "Oh, but you did," Bette walked over to her desk and stood between Tina’s legs.  Bring her face close to the blonde’s, she kissed the corner of Tina’s mouth before moving her head to the left to whisper in a sexy low voice, "Just how horny is drunk Tina?"

    "Very" Tina closed her eyes and shivered.

    "Then I think we should get her to bed.  Don’t you agree?"  Bette tugged on the blonde’s hair and kissed her a second time, savoring the blonde’s total and utter loss of composure.

    "My place?"

    "My place is closer."

    "Your place then," Tina reached up to take Bette’s face in her hands, "I love you."

    "And me, you."  Bette swallowed all of the intense emotions she felt.  This was special and what was most miraculous, is that she knew it to be so.  This was forever.  Reaching behind the blonde, she flipped off the desk lamp,

    "Let’s go home."

    14. Fantastic story. Loved it. They grew to love one another so fast and knew it was the right thing for each of them. We need a sequel for this lovely story. After all, Bette wants children and they need to talk about it and we need to read it. lol It was wonderful getting of jodi so easily. Thanks for sharing and posting as often as you did. You took Bette and Tina, and distracted us from their usual context and characteristics, and for that I’m incredibly grateful. This story was unique, creative, and it will be missed.
