Jenny glared at her and pleadingly begged Alice, holding Coco up to show how cute he could be.
“Fine,” Alice reluctantly handed them over, “Just no poop indoors and no hairs in my bed!”
Jenny nodded. “Thanks …”
She got back in the cab and was gone. Alice slammed the front door shut, already mentally planning a rewrite of that week’s column.
“So … Jenny’s back?”
Helena huffed and turned away, “I can’t believe you’re letting her stay at your apartment!”
“But!” Alice let out an exasperated sight, “You just said …” She ran after Helena’s retreating figure.
“After everything she did to Mandy and I …” Helena continued to mutter.
“So are we still having pizza?” Li asked, expecting no response. She turned to Angie and fished out a take away menu from the cabinet in the hall. “You wanna call or shall I?”
Angie took it from her, “What was that thing anyway … looked like an anorexic cat!”
Li giggled, “I know … Banjo would ‘so’ eat it!”
Angie grinned, taking her by the arm as they walked in the direction of the telephone to order pizza, “Defo!”
Summer Vacation Chapter Forty-Seven
“Eugh, I’m so late.” Bette muttered, as they unpacked all the beach things from the cars.
Tina nodded, leaving Bette to her own anxieties over taking Lottie to see the neurologist. She half thought about calling Kit and suggesting that she watch Angie to relieve some of their collective stress but Angie being there would probably calm them both down, since she was a pretty good diffuser between her Mom and her Aunt.
“I’ve gotta run.” Bette mumbled again, kissing Tina quickly on the lips as she grabbed her bag and jacket, “If I’m gonna get across town and get Angie before I come back across the other side to get Lottie then I have to go *now*!”
As she said it all in a rush her cell phone rang to life.
“What now?” Bette grumbled, glancing at Tina imploringly. She answered it gruffly, “What?”
Alice stalled before answering, “Well good morning to you too!”
Bette paused. “I’m sorry Al, I’m just in a bit of a rush.”
“Which is why I was calling to tell you that were all here at The Planet having breakfast,” Alice replied, “Angie too.”

Thank you for each and every page, I love the interaction between the whole family and have missed this story. You’d have to be on ludes to have Jenny and Lottie sleeping together, please say it ain’t so. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you, Md
Well, look who’s here! It was only last night that I read some of the early chapters of this saga, having grown bored waiting for new ones. Tell that HB person she ought to get her ass in gear and post as well. No matter what may or may not have happened, to wake up in Jenny’s bed (well, Alice’s really) is a sure sign that way too much alcohol was consumed. Please define ‘mithered’.
I am so happy to see this story again. It is still a favorite of mine. Although I still am not a fan of Jenny and now you have Lottie hooking up with her. Now, Lottie is really like Bette in doing something that she would not normally do. I hope that she just passed out and nothing actually happened. Still love Bette and Tina and always will. Angie is a hoot and maybe now Che will talk to the others.
Well, hello, sofa! I’m so glad to read an update from you! :) It’s sad that there’s an expanding wasteland of uncompleted stories in this wonderful site but I’m glad this one hasn’t gone that route yet. Anyway, if Lottie slept with Jenny as implied, that would be a cause for worry. Huge thanks for this post, sofa! Hope your hectic work life will ease up soon. :>

Nothing to worry about, Alice only has the one bedroom, and Lottie probably just fell into bed, totally sloshed, and I bet her and Jenny didn’t even share a chaste peck, let alone any sort of drunken passionate snogging. I don’t even think Jenny’s gonna tease Lottie about it, ever. See, sofa? Relentless optimism. The same relentless optimism that let me know you’d post again at some point. And the same optimism that’s telling me you’ll be posting again in the near future. So thanks for the chapter, you’ve been missed. Cheers!

I am thrilled to get a new chapter, but please tell me Lottie didn’t sleep with Jenny. It would break my heart to have Lottie confess her love to Jo and turn around to fall in bed with Jenny.
