    Tasha ordered a slice of chocolate on chocolate cake. Bette and Jodi ordered sherbet. Alice passed on dessert. ”You sure you don’t want anything?” Tasha asked. ”Well I was hoping you would share with me.” ”Oh baby I’m sorry this is my second obsession next to you.” ”So you’re not going to share!” ”Remember those fries?” Alice pouted. ”I was just teasing you. You know I’m going to share.” Tasha picked up her fork and fed a piece of the cake to Alice. ”Is it good?” Tasha asked. ”You bet. I know what would make it better.” She picked up the fork and fed a bite to Tasha. She then leaned in for a kiss. ”You’re right it does taste good like this.” That was when Jodi caught the ring on Alice’s finger. She elbowed Bette and pointed at the ring. ”Where did that come from?” ”What?” Alice asked. ”That ring on your finger.” ”Tasha gave it to me.” ”Does it mean what I think it means?” ”It depends on what you think it means.” ”Alice!” ”Yes it does mean what you think it means.” Alice looked over at Tasha. ”There’s no one I’d rather spend the rest of my life with.” Tasha leaned in and kissed Alice. ”Well congratulations. We should get champagne.” ”Oh no I don’t think I can drink anything else tonight. But thank you.” Tasha replied. They chatted a bit after dessert. ”So when are you two coming out of hiding?” Bette asked. ”Well I’ll be out of seclusion shortly. Tasha is going out of town.” Alice said in a low tone. ”Is it military related?” Bette asked. She could hear a hint of sadness in Alice. Tasha knew she couldn’t take Alice with her to meet her family just yet, but she didn’t want to leave her behind either. She remembered what her being away did to Alice. ”I’m going to Virginia to see my father. He’s sick.” ”I hope he gets better.” Bette was thinking of her father and his last days. ”Me too.” Jodi said.

    When the check came Tasha paid the bill. Bette left a tip. ”Well it was nice seeing you guys.” Bette said. ”Yeah you two also.” Alice said. There were hugs and kisses as they parted ways. Bette’s car came first and they left Tasha and Alice standing there. Alice held Tasha’s hand and spinned her around. ”You look so beautiful.” ”I have a surprise for you.” ”This was enough. You put on this sinful outfit tonight and all I was thinking about was making love with you.” ”There’s more.” The valet pulled Tasha’s car around. She opened the door for Alice and they drove to Alice’s apartment. ”Why are we coming here? What about the beach house?” ”Well we have a couple of things to take care and I didn’t want to do them there. I wanted us to have a space to ourselves.” While that was true, Tasha could see where Simone was heading and her relationship with Alice meant more than Simone could understand. When they walked in the door there was soft music playing. Tasha took her hand and led her to the bathroom. The tub was filled with water and on the top laid a sheet of rose petals. Alice dipped her hand in the water to find it hot enough for her liking. ”How did you do this?” ”I told you I had a surprise for you.” ”Yeah but you couldn’t have done this. Who did you get to help you with this?” Tasha kept her lips sealed. The truth was she enlisted Papi and Helena’s help to get this together. She texted Papi when they were 5 minutes away to run the bath water. While Papi was taking care of the bath room Helena was putting candles all over the bedroom. Tasha began undressing Alice and kissing her slowly. When she had Alice completely naked, Alice began undressing and kissing Tasha. Tasha took a clip and pinned her hair up. Alice held Tasha’s hand while she stepped in the tub. Once Alice was seated in the tub Tasha climbed in behind her. She kissed Alice’s neck. ”I love my surprise.” Alice whispered. ”This isn’t all.” While Tasha and Alice were in the tub, Papi put the rest of the rose petals on the bed then helped Helena light the candles that were all over the bathroom. They closed the door and let themselves out quietly.
