    Talice Lovers: Chapter 1

When Tasha pulled into the hospital she called her mom. ”We’re outside.” Tasha leaned down and kissed Alice on the cheek. ”Alice. Wake up baby.” ”Hmm?” ”We’re here.” ”We’re here?” ”Yeah. My mom is on her way out.” ”Are you sure she’s going to like me?” ”She’s going to love you.” Alice smiled and leaned in to kiss Tasha. Tasha deepened the kiss and temporarily forgot all about her mom coming out to meet her. She broke the kiss and looked Alice in the eyes. ”You ready to go?” ”It’s now or never right?” ”Pretty much.” They got out of the car and walked through the garage to the elevator holding hands. ”Do I look alright?” Alice asked Tasha. She was wearing a pair of jeans that fitted just right in Tasha’s opinion. She had on a plain white tee with a light jacket. Tasha turned her around. ”You look good enough to eat.” Tasha who was dressed similar to Alice got an approval also. When they stepped in the hospital Tasha’s mom was there. ”What took you so long?” She asked while hugging Tasha. ”Alice was sleep. She had to get her bearings together before we came down.” Alice stepped up and shook hands with Tasha’s mom. ”Mom this is Alice. Alice this is my mom Janet Williams.” Tasha’s mom was about 5’5” with the same complexion as Tasha. Her hair fell down her back and there were few gray strands there. She wore a pair of glasses and her eyes were welcoming. ”Nice to meet you Mrs. Williams.” ”Nice to meet you too Alice. So what do you do?” ”Mom! This is not a courtroom!” Alice remembered Tasha telling her that her mom was an attorney. ”I’m just asking. What I can’t ask?” She took Alice’s hand and led her to the elevator. ”Well I host a radio show and I have a web page that is geared toward lesbian women.” ”Is that how you met?” ”No Eva actually got us together.” Tasha interrupted. ”How is Eva?” ”She’s fine.” ”That’s good.” When they got off on the ICU floor Mrs. Williams kept talking to Alice. Tasha got a look on her face as if she were expecting the worst. Alice grabbed her hand. ”What’s the matter?” Tasha didn’t say anything. ”Your mom said he was doing better. Show him that you know he’s getting better.” ”I don’t know if I can. I’m just so worried.” ”I know you are. I’ll be out here if you need me.” She hugged and kissed Tasha then watched her go into her father’s hospital room.
