”Because of the reaction you’re having now what was I going to say Simone called me and invited us to her birthday party!?”

”Yes dammit! It would’ve sounded better when she asked you initially instead of springing it on me at the last minute. You’re keeping secrets about things with her how do you think I should react?” Tasha looked down at her feet she felt about 2 inches tall at that moment. She knew if she were on the outside looking in she would have looked guilty and been mad too. When Tasha looked at Alice there were tears in her eyes she refused to let fall. Tasha went to hold her but Alice kept her at arm’s length.

”I need to be alone right now, ”Alice walked to her bedroom and closed the door. Dee walked back in to get something for her and Chris to drink.

”You know seeing you and Alice together I believe that you underestimate her ability to understand situations. She has been more than compliant about your friendship with a woman who has not been shy about breaking up yours and her romantic relationship.”

”Dee, I put Simone in her place about our relationship and mine and Alice’s relationship.”

”I know that and Alice knows that too but when you hide little shit from her it seems like you’re up to something. Chris and I are coming in for a minute to get ready for the party.” Tasha walked to the bedroom and put her hand on the door. She felt bad for keeping the Simone’s party from Alice. She opened the door and Alice was laying in the bed. Her back was turned but Tasha knew her eyes were wide open. She walked over to Alice’s side of the bed and sat down. Tasha pushed her hair out of her face.

”I’m sorry Alice I didn’t realize what I was doing would hurt you, I never mean to hurt you, I love you so much and I don’t want to lose you over anything stupid baby can you forgive me?” Alice looked up and saw tears in Tasha’s eyes also, ”Please.” Alice leaned up and took Tasha in her arms. She felt her tears hit her shoulder.
