Tina: Temple you say, my best friend goes to Temple too. Id probably be there as well if I wasnt such an idiot

Dana: What do you mean?

Tina: I didnt really plan on going to school yet. I wanted to take a year off and get my thoughts together, figure out what I really wanted to do but my mom took it as me just being lazy and made me send out some applications. I only applied to UCLA because I didnt think I could get in, the same reason I didnt apply to Temple.

Dana: Well im sure I will be flying out there some time to visit her before she makes the move out here, you should come with me, it would be fun.

Tina: Yeah, that would be awesome

Over the next year Dana and Tina had become pretty good friends. Tina had accepted her sentence from the karma police and was enjoying it. Yeah, college life was the life for her. She was lucky enough to never have a class before eleven am, how she pulled that one off, nobody knows. She quickly made friends from within her major and had become quiet the social butterfly. Not to mention she was doing quite well in school, who knew you could have fun while learning. Dana had informed Tina that she was going to fly to Philly during spring break and invited her along. Tina really wanted to meet the person who called their dorm room at all hours and usually when Tina was sleeping, plus she hadnt seen her best friend in ages and would love some time to reconnect.

After finishing her last midterm Tina raced back to her room to finish packing for the trip. Tina danced around the room excitedly as she stuffed the rest of her clothing in to her suitcase. Just as Tina finished packing, Dana came flying through the door.

Dana: Freaking practice ran late. She huffed as she threw her racket on to the bed. Weve got to hurry we have to at the airport in an hour she turned around noticing all of Tinas things completely packed. Oh youre done, great! I just gotta jump in the shower. She grabbed her shower caddy and robe and quickly exited in to the hall.

With not a moment to spare, Dana and Tina raced down the terminal to catch their plane. They were the last passengers to board. Both girls let out a sigh of relief as they plopped in to their assigned seats. Dana was a nervous wreck the entire plane ride, the thought of seeing Alice and every slight bounce of turbulence kept the tennis player on edge the entire flight. Tina on the other hand slept the whole time, only waking up long enough to catch their connecting flight in Atlanta.

Almost six hours later they were being greeted by the spunky blonde immortalized on Danas dresser, and her friend. Tina smiled at the interaction between reunited girlfriends. Tina could feel someone looking at her. She turned and caught the gaze of the woman standing next to Alice. The brunette smiled and decided to introduce herself before the young blonde thought she was crazy.

Bette: Hi, im Bette she extended her hand.

Tina: Hey. Tina, nice to meet you she felt a wave of shyness wash over her as she smiled and quickly looked away.

Alice: So this is the roommate Ive heard so much about

Tina: In the flesh

Alice: Well its nice to finally meet you. Dana said your friend goes to Temple.

Tina: Yeah, im supposed to call her when we get in.

Alice: Well my apartment is right by campus, if you guys wanna go out tonight she can meet us over there. Bettes boyfriend owns a bar and said he would let you youngins in, if you behaved yourselves she joked and nudged Danas elbow.

Tina walked along side Bette as the two love birds skipped along in front of them. Tina couldn’t help but notice the way Bette carried herself. She moved with such poise and confidence, Tina was naturally intimidated. Tina also couldn’t help but notice Bette was wearing her all time favorite perfume, Clinique Happy. The mixture of Bette’s own body chemestry with the perfume intoxicated Tina’s senses.
