Tell Me Something Good – Chapter 29

    Previously…

Bette crawled on Tina’s body which sprawled on the couch as the blonde began to relax. She took the throw blanket and covered them both. “I love you, T.” She whispered before resting her head on the blonde’s chest.

“I love you, too.” Tina replied and held Bette close. After a few minutes the two fell asleep with the “Fawn” looking down at them.

    Chapter 29

“But, Bette…the couple can’t see each other until the day of the wedding. It’s only for one night.” Alice pleaded.

“I’d like to meet the person who made that rule and punch that person in the nose. What did Tina say to this when you told her of your plans?”

“She refused same as you.” Alice followed Bette around in her office at the museum.

“And where am I supposed to sleep the night before the wedding? Tina and I booked a room at The Plaza Hotel.”

“At Shane’s. You can stay in Angelica’s old room and Tina will stay at The Plaza.”

Bette raked her fingers through her hair in frustration. “Alice, that means she will be uptown and I will be downtown. We’re going to be miles apart…miles.” She eyed her friend and blew out a breath. “If Tina says ‘yes’ then I’ll go along with it.”

Alice squealed and jumped up and down. She pulled her cell phone from her purse and called Tina. “Hi, TK… I know you’re busy finishing up work, but Bette said yes if you say yes.” Alice nodded to whatever Tina was saying. She handed the cell phone to Bette. “She wants to talk to you.”

Bette let out a sigh and took the cell phone. “Hi, baby…I know…I know, but…I need to get her out of my office…this is the first time I’ll be away from the museum.” Bette turned her back to Alice. “She’s driving me nuts following me around in my office,” she whispered. “I had to do something. Of course, I don’t want to be away from you…yes even for one night…okay…yes, you’re right. It’s only one night. Yes, it’ll give me a chance to catch up with Shane, but baby…fine. I’ll see you later. I love you, too.” Bette turned and handed the cell phone back to Alice. “You win.”

    1. For once that Alice intervenes and mingles for the right outcome… nicely done to play with their weak points..(not wanting to spend time apart) I could feel the anguish…esp in Bette..Great job..thank you for the chapter, thank you for the story and I forgot to ask if you had a nice holiday! Kxx

    2. Wonderful update. I do love this story and will miss it when it ends. Maybe we can have a “SEQUEL” to show their lives after the marriage and any little additions to the family they might be thinking about. Thanks for posting.
