Chapter 24

Tina stretched out in bed feeling tired, she stared at the ceiling a smile forming over her face she looked at the clock and saw it was a little after 7 in the morning she looked for the phone under the covers, on the bed she finally found it under her pillow, she had spent part of last night talking to Bette on the phone they talked about their crazy days and their talks with Catherine and Helena.

It was nice to have Bette’s voice be the last she heard before she went to sleep so she saw it only fitting that Bette’s voice be the first she heard as she woke, she picked up her phone and dialed Bette’s number.

“Hey T, Good morning”

“Hey you, how did you sleep?” Tina asked

“Very good, I was glad you called me last night you calmed me, I knew I missed you but I didn’t realize how much until I heard your voice” Bette said

“Me, too I just called to say good morning, I wanted your voice to be the first I heard today, my day is so going to suck today”

“Poor baby, Mines not too bad today, I pretty much finished all the work I had piled on my desk yesterday cuz I was hoping I could get out early to take my freakishly gorgeous girlfriend out to dinner”

“Really well, have you asked her yet? Cuz if she’s not free I wouldn’t mind grabbing something to eat with you” Tina laughed

“T, you’re such a goof” Bette smiled

“So, how about dinner tonight? I would love to take you on a proper date” Bette asked

“I would love to go out on a proper date with you, Babe” Tina replied

“How about I pick you up around 6?” Bette asked

“Can’t wait” Tina replied

“I have to get up and get ready I’ll see you tonight Bette”

“Bye T”

Bette, walked down the hall to her office, with a smile on her face she was determined not to let anything upset her today she was walking on cloud nine she greeting James with a huge smile, she retrieved her messages no sooner did she sit in her chair to pick up the phone when there was a knock on her door.
