The knuckles of her hand grazed my jaw as she stared at me intensly… That swirling feeling in my stomach… Even though I was lying down I could feel the weakness of my knees…

She was stammering, and looking away a bit, and I felt my face fold into a tender smile when she unsurely finished that sentence

Fidgeting with her hands she shortly glanced up, immediatly lowering her gaze again, mumbling:

Bette:
When I uttered the words, fright jumped upto my heart… I felt her eyes burn on me, and glanced upto her, surprised to see a smile… Words that were inside my heart suddenly flew from my mouth
You know T? I am afraid too…
My hand made its way to her cheek, and when my fingertips reached it, an intense shiver went through my body. And as she placed her hand against mine, pressing it against her fae, closing her eyes, as if savouring that feeling of our touch, my heart started to pound with an enlighting hope…
For I have never felt this way before… This strong…
I placed my other hand across my heart, feeling lost for words, knowing that words could never describe the feeling I had. But the look in her eyes when she opened then assured me to go on.
I love you… I have never… I… I mean… Tina… What if I dissapoint you?
She didn’t say anything, merely looked at me with that warm, compassionate eyes
You have only ever been with a man, T… Maybe being with a woman wont work for…
Before I could finish my sentence she cupped my head inbetween her hands and drew me closer… When her soft lips met mine, all my emotions exploded inside of me. All the swirling love that had made its way to my heart just washed through my veins. She merely pressed her lips against mine in a motion that made us merge together… And when she opened her mouth, granding me the acces I wasnt expecting, a desire and love stronger than anything I had ever felt, made its way to my fingertips that were grazing her face… It was like thousands electrical jolts made their way from my fingers to her face and I could barely breath. The tip of her tongue touched my lip… It felt like she hit a nerve… Shivers of pure emotions ran up and down my spine as I tried to resist drawing her closer… trying to give up all control…

So I will only tell you in few words what were my thoughts reading them. — At first, I truly loved the way you so beautifully depicted Bette’s catharsis about her mother, something that shows so acurately how much her first true love, her soulmate, means for her : everything. Opening herself so deeply, giving to Tina a so total view on her most hidden and secret lifetime fears, is something highly moving for both of them : to let all the inward doors open is such an essential proof of love ! To share everything for the very first time, with the very first person you feel confident enough to do that, that’s the apex of love indeed. — Then, I think it was essential to expose Bette and Tina’s insecurities at this precise moment of your story : in a way, it’s an emotional foreplay, a spiritual lovemaking before any physical fusion – and that’s priceless. (That’s also something your style achieves with the marvellous way you choiced, from the beginning of your story, to let speak our lovebirds’s intimate thoughts in turns).Emotional insecurities that make love – the capital L word – the most priceless thing ever, if the miracle to be loved in return happens to you. Miracle of miracles that is not often enough celebrated, for me, and that your so touching story makes palpable… *** Now about this chapter. God, how terrible can be the ‘What if’ game ! It just recalls me a song my favorite actress recorded few years ago about these badly powerful two words… Luckily, our wonderful almost-lovers slowly discover how meaningless were all these fears facing the deep reality of their shared love – the one and only word that will always be more powerful than any other one. — ‘All my emotions exploded inside of me. All the swirling love that had made its way to my heart just washed through my veins (… ) Shivers of pure emotions ran up and down my spine ‘ : what a towering feelings’ fireworks, I loved it ! ^_^ As I loved Tina’s quote at the very same moment : ‘At once I saw it all in her eyes, and the fear, doubt and resent just melted away, like snow would do when the sun starts shining…’ You do realize you have a poetress’ heart, don’t you ? I hope so ! — Ah, my dear so talented author, I already knew you were the absolute best picturing kisses of love’s timeless moments (the only ones I ever read in this FF website that would often deserve a NC-17 warning ! *wink*), but the one you gave to us here is truly a masterpiece of emotions. It made me deeply sigh, with this mixed feeling of delight and melancholy the realization of how I’d give my lifetime for knowing only one minute of such beauty created in me… Well, one can dream, of course, and you’re a master sharing with us such a dream. ‘With every heartbeat our kiss deepened, so did that incredible feeling inside me’ ; ‘It felt as if she was a wave that took me, and I knew she would lead me to a safe and warm place.’ – that’s very beautiful, really. — How I also love the way you suddenly mix humor with emotions, with our dear Ms Porter’s reaction at her beloved’s shy request ! Funny and touching at the same time : how modest is our WeHo goddess facing a request soooo many of us would soooo gladly do too ? (…where can we enrol for an intensive and detailed course – until master’s degree, of course ! ^_^ – with such a dreamy teacher ?? We’d all be so ‘attentive students’ too ! *big grin and wink* )Now all I have to add is : ready for Step 2, wheedling writer !! ***** Few words more to end this river-comment (sorry !) : this ‘synchronic beat’ of hearts you wrote about here, that’s something you also made me feel each time I read this story : mine beats at the same rhythm, melting in all emotions – happy or painful – your talent bring in me… That’s what makes any reading alive.
