After that night I slept and I dreamed nothing. After that night every woman I saw that caught my eye distracted me. Their eyes distracted me, their lips, the ways they ran their tongues over those lips. Their legs, their breasts…god did breasts distract me. I noticed the guards…the female guards and how strong they seemed, how sure and ready for anything…and that distracted me worse than anything. My teachers distracted me…..hell even old Mrs. Kennard distracted me.
She wasn’t that old just older than anyone I knew. She was 39 years old and to me that was ancient. Yet there was something about her that made me just a little nervous…it was how much of a woman she was. The way she carried herself in Global Catastrophe’s Class…going over the Tsunami and hurricanes of the last century….her painted nails….her painted toenails…they way those summer dresses just clung to her….she knew….she caught me more than once staring at her….she wanted to talk to me after class.
I waited…this was 5 months ago. I waited for her. I was sure of myself I knew she wanted me. The class made their way out. I told Dana to go on ahead that I had to talk to the newly married Mrs. Kennard-Smith…still Kennard to us; I told her I would see her later. She nodded and off she went leaving me alone with her. I sat back put my foot on the table. She laughed a little….all woman the laugh…not the girly laughs that I heard all around campus. She walked to the back of the room and sat on the table just to my left. Her perfume made me feel a little crazy…it was so sweet.
“So Shane…….I like what you did with your hair….”
“Oh….this yeah I needed a change…..it was a little too long…..you know?”
“I do……Shane….I want to……”
“Yes…..”
“You don’t even know what I was going to say.”
“You where going to say….Shane I want to take you home…..I want to give some one on one time…..I want to…….”
