Part two: No knock on my door…..

In a trance I danced the night away. Turning everyone down, spacing out my drinks thinking of her. She was always on my mind. She was everywhere and I was nowhere. I couldn’t be found. I hung on the roof I watched the sky, I watched the sun set, I wanted a moment of peace. I wanted a moment that was not made up of wanting her, a want so painful that I felt like I was bleeding on the inside. Wanted to stop thinking that so I danced the night away.

Saturday night. More crowded than usual lately. Wall to wall people. My music making them feel. My music making them see things, feel things. Things they never knew. Slow songs, fast songs, didn’t matter I was an exit for them. I was an exit for myself.

I had taken to smoking to be like her. It was awful at first. I threw up. Wasn’t pleasant. Wasn’t cool. Time passed and I smoked more and more and I got it. What it was about, the act itself that made her feel good. So now…then, I danced hit random on the player. Watched my meters…put the limiter on so I wouldn’t overload Marina’s precious speakers and I danced the night away.

Hands trying. Hands searching. I take them away. I wasn’t distracted by them anymore. My ladies, with legs, and lips and power. They meant nothing to me. Did I want a drink? Sure. Did I want to dance? Maybe not. The lights were great, blues, and hot pinks, purple, blue my beautiful blue, not the blue of the sky, more like the blue of the night, strobe lights, blinking on and off, wandering lights, no I don’t want to dance sweetheart…maybe later.

I see her. I see her always. She was with her woman. My arch enemy of course. They too are dancing the night away…a rock song….the guy he sings, wonderful voice, and yes I am blurred and mean and very drunk, something about rules and the number of drinks, but if they keep buying and touching me how was I supposed to turn them down? Yes. No, the guy with the wonderful voice, he wants to go with flow, he says that falling in and out of love is something sweet to throw away….he wants something good to die for he thinks that it will make it beautiful to live…and me I wanted to know what that kind of feeling meant.

    1. One whole year… That is a long time to wait, that also is a lot of determination. But I like that Carmen has morals and isn’t giving in easily. Seems like Tasha will be a tremendous amount of trouble. Great update, as always :) * * * * *

    2. Wow Tasha is a c*unt! It pisses me off that Carmen is with someone that treats her like a possession. “She is my piece of meat”…eeeww that’s so slimy and creepy. There’s definitely more to that relationship and I can’t wait to find out what it is…there is more right? As for Shane and Carmen it may have taken a year but at least Carmen finally admitted that she feels something. Great stuff once again. This one really has me thinking, perhaps too much…I really should be working right now. :-)

    3. It’s midnight where I’m at and I decided to check in before bed just in case and I’m happy that I did:)This chapter was soooo good. Love that Tasha is very possesive over Carmen, that Tasha knows that Carmen thinks and wants Shane, that whole dialogue between Tasha and Shane was marvelous!Just wow. As I said before the chemistry between Shane and Carmen is palpable. Their love chase is amazing, you’re amazing. Okay, stopping now!******

    4. I was without internet access for a couple of days so my comment is late. I’m still enjoying this story and I hope you continue with it. Love the update.

    5. Love young disobedient Shane and Old mature Carmen. and I like even Tasha. She can be a devil to make Shane and Carmen go together eventually. Thank you and post soon please.

    6. No tequila girl? Pshh. Stupid future. Heh. So, anyhoo, Tasha’s totally standing between Shane and Carmen and she knows it. . . revels in it. But even though Tasha’s an ass, I must admit that I like what she brings to the table with her open hostility and opposition to Shane. Awesome story. (Crazy, I had a dream last night. Something about nuclear winter and driving around, trying to find supplies to survive in a dying world, thanking my lucky stars that my Subi is all-wheel drive. Anyway, I’m pretty sure it was because of this story. Gotta love the apocalypse.) * * * * *
