“Good morning sweetie.” Bette says and smiles.

“Bette, why didn’t you wake me? I’m gonna be late.” Tina says and turns.

“Relax baby, I called in and told Camilla that we’ll be in a little later. Come on, sit down, take a deep breath and relax.” Bette says.

Tina let out a deep breath and takes a seat. Bette moves over and kiss her softly, then she walks back and finish making the pancakes.

An hour later they are on their way to the embassy. Bette borrowed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt from Tina. They get off the buss and Bette grabs Tina’s hand.

“Bette?” Tina says.

“Yeah?” Bette replies.

“Do you have to say anything? I already am the one out. I don’t want to be pushed further out.” Tina says and turns to look at Bette.

“Sweetie, I have to say something. The boss knows. I told him about us. We have his support, we also have Camilla’s support. I have to do this Tina. Please understand.” Bette says and squeeze her hand a little.

“Do I have to be in the room?” Tina asks.

“No, you don’t. You can stay in my office.” Bette replies and smiles.

“Thank you.” Tina says.

They enter the embassy and walk downstairs. Bette’s holding a little tighter to Tina’s hand. Everyone’s eyes are on them. Tina decides then that she should be by Bette’s side. They stop in the middle of the room. Camilla walks towards them. She smiles at Bette and then Tina and stops besides them. Everyone is looking in their direction. Tina feels a little sick. She squeeze Bette’s hand. Bette look at her and whispers.

“Go into my office.”

“No, I’m staying.” Tina says and gives her a little smile. Bette returns the smile.

“Everybody, can I have your attention?” Bette calls out.

Everyone stops what they are doing and giving their attention to Bette. Tina is standing in the background beside Camilla.

“Like all of you have heard, Tina and I are a couple. But here, we are colleagues. Nothing more. I will not favour her. You are all equals when at the job. What you all did yesterday is unforgivable. She needed your help. I won’t have that kind of attitude and behaviour here. What Tina and I do in our free time is none of your business. Understand?” Bette asks, looking around at everyone. Some nods. “Understand?” Bette asks again, raising her voice.
