The Darker Side of Tina Chapter 4
Tina’s eyes flew open. Did I just say that aloud? Christine was kissing her collar bone and saying something, but Tina missed it. I can’t have said that. Christine said something again, but Tina was still in shock.
“Tina Tina? Hellooo, Tina?” Christine said.
“I’m sorry, what?” Tina said, her mind harshly snapping back into the present.
“You said ‘but’ I asked you, ‘But what?’” Christine said, looking at her funny.
“Christine, II can’t do this, I’m so sorry. I can’t do this.
“Oh,” Christine said, looking confused, “That’s okay, I understand.
“Trust me, I really, really wish I could. But I just can’t.”
“No, Tina, it’s okay, I promise. It’s better we stop now then you regret it later.”
“Thank you for understand. Do you want me to go?”
“Go? Oh, god no! Why don’t we go to a movie, or maybe a bar?”
Later that night
Stepping outside the bar laughing, both girls were ready to go home.
“That was so much fun! Oh my god, it’s late!” Tina said, looking at her watch, which said it was 2:30, “Let me drive you home, then I’d better go back to my place.”
When they got to Christine’s apartment complex, Tina walked her to her door, “I had a ton of fun tonight, Chris. I’m sorry for earlier. I’m glad you aren’t mad at me.”
“Why would I be mad? Trust me, I know how you feel. Like I said, better to have stopped then to regret it.” Christine said, placing an understanding hand on Tina’s shoulder.
“Thanks. Well, I guess I’d better go.” Tina said.
“Yeah, you should. It’s late. I’ll see you later, okay?”
Tina nodded and turned to go. She got to the stairs and paused. She spun around, took a few quick steps over to Christine, pulled her close and gave her a long, sweet kiss.
“I forgot to give you that.” Tina said, smiling.
Christine flashed her a huge, delighted grin, “You also forgot to give me your cell number, but I can let that slide now.”
“Oh, you’re completely right!” Tina exclaimed, while digging in her purse. She finally found her small notepad and a pen, put down her name and number, and pressed it into Christine’s hand, “Call me soon. I’d love to take you out and show you around some more.”
