    The escape…in the mirror

Shane and Carmen lay on the couch, Dana and Alice sat sleeping in the armchair and Kit crusaded with the percolator in the kitchen. "Good morning, little one." "Good morning. What’s going on here?" "Well, we thought that you could maybe need your friends today and so we have transferred our Sunday breakfast to your house. Jenny has already gone off to get fresh rolls and croissants." Kit handed me the first cup of coffee.

I gave Kit a tray. We had decided to make a kind of buffet on the terrace. Kit put all things on the tray, which they had found and I took it and covered the table. We tried to be very quiet, because who wants to get up so early on a Sunday morning. After we had moved everything out, we sat down at the pool. "Why are you up so early, Tina?" "Well, I think, I was a little bit worried. I have thought that everything was just dream, however, because you all are here, probably it is not." "No, it isn’t. We have really found her, well, Jenny found her." Kit smiled at me quite nicely, so I also began to smile. "Do you already know what you want to do?" "No. Do you want to call her, Kit?" "No, I would still like to keep in the background a little while. I would want that you both find a way to each other in the first place." I looked distraughtly at the water. The sun was reflected on the surface and let it gleam in the most different colors. Kit laid her hand on mine. "But be sure, I am at your side the whole time, little one." "Thank you, that’s kind of you."

Slowly the others also woke, while at the same moment Jenny stood in the door with a gigantic bag of rolls. She came up to me, looked at me with her typical sympathetic look. "I’m so sorry, Tina." "Its okay, Jenny. Don’t worry." "Really?" "Yes, really, it’s alright. I’m fine. Sooner or later I would have found out anyhow." "Actually, I had promised Marina to tell you nothing about Bette. She wanted that Bette finds the way to you herself." "Too late!" Alice shot from the background, followed by a "Good morning ladies! What a nice Sunday morning." "Shut up, Al." Dana pulled Alice down in the armchair again and laid her hand on Alice’s mouth. "Why, Dana? Nevertheless, it is a marvelous morning, the sun is shining, it is pleasantly warm, I’m lying in your arms and all of our friends are here." "All your very much tired friends, Al." Shane growled from the couch. "What’s the time?" asked Carmen. Jenny’s answer came promptly: "It is 8:30 o’clock." Shane mumbled and searched her surroundings with closed eyes in order to find a cushion or something. When she had found it, she muttered something to herself until her head disappeared under the cushion. "Hey, not so grouchy Shane." Carmen shook her, what Shane brought to growl more and louder. Suddenly, out of the blue, Shane sat up and tore her tired eyes to searching. "Tina? Where is Tina?" "Here Shane, I’m here!" I stood at the terrace door and waved to her. "Are you okay?" "Yes I am, everything is fine. What about breakfast, ladies?" "Hmm." Maybe I should tell what there is out here. "Bagels." "Hmm". "Jam" "Hmm" "Croissants" "Hmm" I think, that didn’t seem to knock their socks off. "Coffee?" "Yes, me." Dana lifted her right arm and waved wildly with her hand in the air. "Espresso?" Now this had also convinced Shane who snapped with her fingers. "I take it, a double if possible." "Alrigth!" Jenny gave Dana a coffee and Shane a double espresso. "Ouch, hot!" "Sorry, Shane" "I could blow for you, darling?" Shane pushed Carmen carefully away, protecting her espresso. "No, I can do that alone. Give me one minute, please." Alice jumped up and went on the terrace. "Wow, a little troll was here?" "No, a marmot." Alice turned round to Dana. "Ha, ha, ha, how funny."
