Bette’s eyes grew wide and she gulped. “Shit, Tina. When did you get so kinky?”
“Years of fantasizing about you, Angel May. Years of imagining what I could do to you in bright vivid detail each night while I drifted off to sleep,” Tina whispered against Bette’s ear. She pulled back, reached over her head and grabbed a thick headed spatula. Then she winked.
Bette shuddered, whimpered and lay back surrendering herself to the chef’s skillful hands.

Lara didn’t notice right away the mess in the kitchen. It was early, only 5:30am and she and Alice had been out until 2am drinking and dancing at the newest club in town, so she was sleepy and yawning. But a delivery of produce was due by six and she knew she needed to be there to meet them and have the boxes stored in the pantry no matter how tired she was.
She did, however, notice the smell of freshly brewing coffee as soon as she stepped in the door, and next she was startled by the person of Bette Porter dressed only in Tina’s chef jacket and bare naked from the bottom down.
“Bette!” Lara exclaimed and she looked away quickly when she saw the long dark legs and bare bottom.
“Shit!” Bette squealed when Lara caught her at the coffee pot. “Shit, shit, shit! Lara, I’m sorry!” Bette exclaimed and she covered her crotch and backed out of the kitchen into Tina’s office.
“What in the world?” Lara gasped. She began looking around her now. She saw a sundress draped across one of the work stations, a pair of crumpled panties on the kitchen floor next to a pair of black trousers and a pair of sandals off to one side. Spatulas and spoons and other tools were strewn across the three stations and one station was cloudy and smeared. Lara went close, picked up a spatula and stood there a moment trying to figure out what was going on.
“Heya, Lara,” Tina said smiling, coming into the kitchen from her office. She was tucking in her white tank top into her jeans. “I didn’t think you’d be in so early.” Tina’s hair was damp as if she’d just gotten out of the shower and she was pink in the face and smiling like an idiot.

Sola gratia. Grace and grace alone will help Bette and Tina to find their way to the life that they will share. Forgiveness to their mothers and to themselves. So simple but so hard to do in life. You have taken us on this journey and we have grown in knowledge from it. Looking forward to the next post and a happy ending for these two kinky souls. Poor Lara, looks like she will be hosing down the whole kitchen. Tina cooked all of her favorite dishes.

The deer! At last! Are we voting here? I vote for either the detective thriller or the historical fantasy story. So another two chapters left.. Always a pleasure to read.
What a fantastic way to start my weekend!
This chapter was a quite a bit lighter, in a lot of ways. The only heaviness I’m left with now is the impending separation and the fact that this story is soon ending.
I’m glad Bette and Helena have talked Tina out of doing anything to Faye Buckley. The woman will get her punishment and hopefully they’ll all start to move on. And Helena to the rescue again, reminding Bette about the photo that James took including Miriam’s portrait and her father as well.
I hope the upcoming interaction with The Planet’s DJ is a bit less filled with jealousy than the last encounter with her all those years ago. ;)

I like the image of the deer, and I like how Bette’s ‘guide’, which has been her silent company during the days of her youth, finally spoke and planted a new seed in her. I can already see her willing to change and think positive by how she talks to Tina, trying to share with her what she learned [a lot] in only one day.
The end was priceless!! I’ve always loved their banter… so looking forward to the scene at the Planet, I know it’s going to be great!
I’m sad this story is going to end, but I’m also happy to know their ‘nightmare’ is almost over, they need the peace they have been seeking for years and years, and together it will be even better. And knowing you’re already thinking about new stories comforts me.

But mostly seeing Tina and Bette on a path of healing and forgiveness, and becoming a loving family is this best part of the chapter and whole story to be exact.
Oh yeah am I the only one who is also sad that Tina is leaving for maybe a year, I swear I think im inside the story too lmfao!

I think I have to tell you how grateful I am to you for sharing this great story with us. It was not only captivating until the first word , but helped guide and see some things that showed us a mirror to “look at yourself and tell me what you see ”
this beautiful and heartbreaking story pointed out that everyone’s life is needed self-healing and self- forgiveness. everyone’s life happening painful things that leave their mark on the soul, and if you does not deal with, the wound will too deep and the recovery will be more difficult and takes longer. and should never be forgotten that we are not alone, because there is always love in our lives : whether it be a friend, family or love. Yes, sometimes life throws us, but we need to be able to see the positive, it’s still there :)

BenMac, you are totally unsurpassed! Your flare for sprinkling humour throughout your drama is incredible. It keeps us engaged and entertained with meaningful analogies leaving us wanting more and more. I for one will be sad to see this story end in only 2 more chapters; I will miss it and these characters in particular as I did when I finished To Kill a Mockingbird.
I will love anything you write, but I would be partial to a story set in ancient Gaul. See you next Saturday!

That was fun! It’s all coming full circle although I’m not looking forward to it ending but it has been a joy reading this fanfic.
