Tina saw her own role in Bette‘s betrayal. She knew that she hadn’t worked at their relationship; they’d gotten really comfortable and hadn’t seen the inevitable barreling down at them at high speed. The breakdown of what everyone thought was the perfect relationship. There was no such thing as perfect.
“Wow, you look really engulfed by what you are doing. Very ***** Ms. Kennard.” Bette said, grabbing an old wooden school chair and pulling it up and sitting down with Tina. Tina saw that Bette had brought take out from her favorite Chinese restaurant. She didn’t know what to say; so she said nothing.
“I thought that I could surprise you with some lunch? I know it’s a little bit early, but I have an early afternoon lunch and this was the only free time I had. If you want I can just leave it, and you can have it later?” Tina shook her head no, and grabbed the bag from Bette. She pulled out the cardboard containers and opened them; Bette and she dug in.
“This is so good. Thank you.” Tina said, leaning in and giving Bette a quick kiss on the cheek, instantly regretting it. She was giving Bette hope where there might not be any. Bette took it as a good sign that Tina could physically touch her without being repulsed. She felt the feeling of hope wash over her and she clung to it like a life saver.
“It was a thought.” Bette grinned, taking a swallow of some water.
“A good one Ms. Porter.”
“How about coming over tonight? I want to watch Dana‘s coming out party on TV.” Tina laughed hard, almost choking on the very good noodles she so loved.
“That is one way of putting it. Can you believe that Dana is over there?” Bette shook her head, so elated for Dana.
“I’ll call everyone over tonight, and we can sit down, eat greasy pizza and watch Dana whoop some butt.” Bette giggled, and Tina followed suit.
“I’ll call Alice I think she should come over too. Is it ok if I bring someone with me? Her name is Sam Vance she’s a college friend of Alice‘s.” Tina asked Bette, and Bette gave her a look but nodded yes. She didn’t tell her that Sam was a woman who’d slept in her bed recently, sure shock value has some merit, thought Tina.

God JM, your stories are always so hard to read…I cringe, and my heart aches throughout every chapter…yet, I can’t stop myself from reading. Hmmm must be because of the excellent writing! I thought you were posting this all in one go…so come on, hurry up and post the rest. I need to figure out how many B&T beginnings I am going to have to read in order to feel happy again!!!
Fuck! that was good..i liked Sam in action :DPoor Shane…always something is happenning to her!.
Bette should work for the wrestling federation. Nice twist, Shane still died but under different circumstances. Nice touch.
God J, you had my heartrating going right through the roof…AGAIN. Shit, you’re so good at this!
Hi J, loving it as always. ~whispering~I so agree with you Seahurst. J, is killing me and she promised me (I think) that this wasn’t gonna hurt. The only way that I can indulge in J’s fanfic is by resting in the fact that there is ample access to TiBette stories and old epidsodes to remind me that all is still well in TiBette land (at least for now, don’t remind me)~sigh.
