“I’m just skipping food and I’m having dessert…”  She sighed, making them all grin.  The small town girl sometimes emerged from Jenny and it was an endearing site.

            “I had dessert earlier.”  Lara impishly quipped, Dana bit her lip embarrassed, gently slapping Lara‘s thigh under the table.  Her eyes wide but unable to not smile.  It felt good to feel comfortable in her skin for the first time in her life.

            “We heard.”  Tina stated wiggling her eyebrows as Bette gave her a look, trying to figure her out suddenly.  Tina had been acting very wild the last few hours.  It was very arousing to see her like that, losing all of her inhibition.  Bette stared at her.  It was like she’d been reborn in the same skin, but with a new outlook on life.  That was Sam‘s doing, and not hers.  She took Candace‘s hand and squeezed it, Candace squeezed back.  Taking sad comfort in the fact that Candace was here. 

            “Ohhh….”  Kit groaned, the mental image playing in her mind, she waved her hands and a face of distaste played on her features.  “Way to much information for me Lara, I like you and all, but please stop girl.  Stop.  No more, mental image, icky.”  Ivan chuckled, filling Kit‘s wine glass with some cider. 

            Shane sat silently, scooting down in her chair in her usual lazy manner.  She kept glancing at the door, waiting, and still no Sam.  The sensation of the kiss clung to her vividly.  She was starting to think that the tomboy doctor had flown back home and left them to their own devices.  Where was she?  Shane grunted, wondering why she wanted to see her so badly.  She looked at Tina, who was nervously playing with her watch.  She too, was waiting for Sam.

            “Hey guys, sorry I’m late, I got… Held up.”  Smiled Sam taking a seat between Shane and Tina.  Sam looked at Tina, tilting her head to the left, wondering why she was getting awkward looks from everyone at the table.

            “Your evening packets Ladies.”  The young woman who’d approached the table said, handing each to them a long envelope.  Everyone’s was a different color, matching moods and humors.
