    LA 2029

Bette and Tina had just joined the rest of the gang in the lounge when Dana arrived bearing treats.

“Donut anyone” she asked placing a box of Krispy krème’s on the coffee table.

Al was the first to dive in, quickly claiming one of the two cinnamon rings in the selection.

“Have you heard the expression Al you are what you eat” Bette said pushing the donut further into Al’s mouth. Al quickly chewed and swallowed her mouth full.

“Well that can’t be true, or we would all have four legs and meowing” She said while keeping a keen eye on everyone’s choice of donut.

She was secretly pleased the other cinnamon ring was still left in the box. A quick calculation confirmed 3 donuts left with only Helena and Lizzie to go.

As Helena reached into the box after Lizzie Al was beginning to sweat, the last cinnamon ring was in mortal danger. “Are you sure you should Hel, I’ve noticed a little thickening around the waist area”

Helena resisted the urge to tell Al to fuck off, only because the twins were present.

Al breathed a sigh of relief that the coveted donut remained in the box. “Hey, I’ve just figured why it’s called a waist, I mean come on you could easily fit another pair of coconuts in there, right” She said as she claimed the last donut.

“Then there would be no room for yours to sag into, would there now my dear” Helena quipped.

During the banter no one noticed little Shane sitting pensively at the end of the sofa, his kind heart was desperately trying to reconcile Al’s previous statement with an alternative to what she actually said, finding none his tears started to fall and completely against his nature, he jumped up “Your all mean and I hate you” he shouted before running out of the room.

The group stared in stunned silence for a brief moment until little Alice piped in “And you all think I’m the drama queen” she said flaying her arms around.
