    Author Notes:

    George gets angry, Tina gets stuck between a rock and a hard place and Bette gets out of character.

    George: “*****, Al. She’s here” she said leaning back to wisper to her then walked away.

    Alice composed herself and prepared for the show. She waved to Tina and somehow managed to catch her attention. Chad headed towards the bathroom and Tina went for the table. At first she only saw Alice but when she got closer she discovered she wasn’t alone. Tina wasn’t prepared to see Bette tonight, her mind went blank and she froze. Bette noticed Tina stop, she took a deep breath and got up to walk to her.

    Alice: “Now how am I supposed to know what’s going on when your way over there?” she said to herself when Bette got up.

    Bette slowly walked over to Tina avoiding eye contact. She stopped in front of Tina and sighed. She knew she would probably see Tina tonight and still didn’t know what to say. The fact that Bette knew the beautiful woman before her wanted her, made her crazy. She was still continplating wether or not that was all it was, just sheer attraction. Bette didn’t think she was capeable of giving Tina what she deserved, Bette was a caring lover but that was as far as she could go. She let go of emotion long ago. Tina’s heart was beating so hard she thought it was going to burst out of her chest. She thought she had buried the feeling she had for Bette, she tried to convince herself that it was just because they were spending too much time together. Or it was just as plain as Bette didn’t want her and didn’t know how to break it to her.

    Bette: “Hey”

    Tina: “Hi Bette”

    Bette: “I haven’t seen you for a couple of weeks”

    Tina: “Yeah, i’ve been busy. I finally got a job and stuff”

    Bette: “That’s good” she nervously responded “and stuff?” she thought to herself.

    Tina: “Bette, thing’s don’t have to be weird between us. We can still be friends you know”

    Bette: “I’d really like that. Im sorry that I responded that way. It’s just that-” was all she could get out before they were interupted.

    Chad: “I thought I lost you” he said putting his arm around Tina.

    Bette felt her heart sink, she just felt the same way Tina did when she saw her with Amy.

    5. I like the fact that Bette now knows the feeling of being jealous…hopefully this will make her realize she has feelings for Tina. Great story…keep it up!
