The House on Ellis Hill – The Gang

“Hold on there, Sherlock, we know nothing about this girl. What if she’s dangerous?”

“I don’t think so.” Tina smiles warmly. She appreciates her concern. She grabs her apple and takes a loud bite.

    “How do you know?”

    “Just a feeling.” Tina shrugs.

“What a feeling….” Alice bounces up to the couple, singing the famous ‘Flashdance’ song, her voice extremely off key.

Bette and Tina groan loudly then smile as the rest of the gang follows closely. Dana throws her sports bag on the table and sits next to Tina while Shane and Carmen take the seats on the opposite side, sliding the bag off the table and onto Dana’s lap. They smile at Dana who rolls her eyes and shoves the bag under her feet.

“Why are you two in here instead of making out under the bleachers like you usually do?” Alice says in her typical boisterous tone. She smirks at the golden couple. Bette gives her a warning look.

“We needed to be around people.” Tina says in almost a whisper. She sits up in her chair offering a brave front. Bette grabs her hand and laces their fingers.

“Why, what happened.” Carmen leans forward in concern. She realizes the pair is not their usual fun loving and affectionate self. Instead they look very serious almost scared.

Bette and Tina look at each other, not always needing to say words. They usually know what the other is thinking and this time is no different. They want their friends to know. They want their help.

“Tina saw a ghost.” Bette says plainly. Tina squeezes her hand and smiles, she’s so incredibly grateful that Bette believes her. She turns to face her friends as they all gasp in unison.

“Oh my God, where?” Dana’s eyes widen in fear and disbelief.

    “The old Graham house.”

“What the hell were you two doing there? It wasn’t something kinky, was it?” Alice’s voice rings louder than they like.

“Alice, keep your voice down. We were just checking out a story.” Bette glares at her loud mouth friend.

“Fuck. This is crazy. I get this strange vibe every time I pass that place, as if something fucking awful happened in that house. It gives me the creeps.” Shane, the most intuitive of the group shakes her head. The rest of them shiver, although impressed once again at her Yoda like powers, they can’t help but feel their own skin crawl at the thought of an actual ghost haunting a house in present day WeHo.
