The Infidelity. Chapter 5. Running Away.

No luggage. She would buy the things she needed when she got there.
She waited in the terminal, keeping an eye on the departure screen. Waiting for the time to come up next to her flight, and for it to turn in to boarding. She sat back in the plastic chair, watching the crowds go by, greeting and saying goodbye to one another. There would be no one to wave her goodbye, because no one knew she was leaving. She had told no one. It was better this way. Better for everyone. Better for her. She never did like goodbyes anyway. She wondered what she was going to do next. She didnt know. All she did know was that she had to get out of LA, out of California. This was all about self, preservation. Everything in her life was a mess, and she didnt have the strength to stay and deal with it. So she was running away. Running away from her life of the past seven and a half years. Running away from the pain and the heartbreak. The pain, there were moments she would often sink in to the blackness of the pain, and more often than not she would think about her. Well why wouldnt she, after all she was the cause of all this pain, all this suffering, she was going through. She watched as a small child ran towards the large window, smearing his little handprints all over the glass. His, mother, chasing, close behind him and then scooping him up in to her arms. Her mind wandered back, to the, what might have beens. That could have been her with her son, but it wasnt and it never could be. That part of her life never came to fruition. Her unborn son was just a memory. A bitter sweet, memory, just like her life with Bette. She turned and checked the screen. The word boarding started to flash. Her flight had been called. It was time to make new memories. New memories of her new life. Hers and her daughters.
