Alice was true to her word about the shower. After Dana woke up from her nap, they had a late lunch together and then Alice helped Dana take a shower. Alice hoped in the future to maybe share a shower with Dana that was not quite so…clinical.
The shower seat had been delivered and Alice put it in the shower stall. Dana’s cast was waterproof, so, they didn’t need to cover it up. There were a couple places where Dana had bandages to cover some cuts. Alice had extra bandages, though, and would replace them after the shower.
Alice went back-and-forth a bit on clean clothes for Dana. She wanted her to be comfortable while resting, but, they also had to be easy to take on and off. She decided to request a couple more hospital gowns for now and then Dana could switch to sweats or pajamas when it was easier for her to move around.
Alice once again helped Dana out of the bed. She seemed to move a little easier this time — probably due to the on-going effects of the pain medication. They made it to the bathroom and Alice had Dana sit on the padded bench while she turned on the shower and adjusted the temperature. Alice wanted to make sure Dana had to move as little as possible when she was in there.
Dana was watching carefully and tried to remember which knobs operated which fixture in the scary shower. She had to smile as Alice mumbled to herself. “Shit. No. Not that knob. This one? Shit. I need to label these stupid things.” Alice finally got the temperature decent and water coming from the fixture over the shower seat. Alice turned with a proud smile. “If it’s too hot or too cold, you use these knobs here. Otherwise you should be all set. I’ve got the shampoo and soap in the basket on the shower chair. There are towels right here. Is there anything else you need?”
“No. This is perfect. Thank you so much Alice. I’m sorry to be such trouble…”
“You’re no trouble at all, Dane.” Alice said with a sincere smile. “I’ll be right outside if you need me.”
After Alice left, Dana made her way to the shower. The water stung at first as it hit her injuries. That quickly passed and it felt heavenly. She hadn’t planned to use the shower seat, but, she found that standing up for a long time was not the best idea right now. She sat and cleaned herself up. She washed her hair twice and used a soft hand towel to clean the rest of her body thoroughly with some lavender-scented body wash. When she was done, she spent a couple moments just enjoying the feel of the water on her skin.

AHHHH!!! I was just getting ready to shut down and go home. Whoo, glad i decided to check just ONE more time. LMAO at Al needing to ‘label’ the knobs in the shower…Yeah i’m really glad that bed is so big..You didnt catch me on any of that video sneaking in to check on Al and Dane did you? It was all in good fun. You seriously need to tell me how much this whole live camera feed and the bed sharing is going to cost so i can get the check book ready and work some over time. Awesome job Lil Buddy! I sooo love this daNg freaking story! :D LOVEEEE ;)
Well, now my smile made you smile, which in turn made me smile… aren’t we a happy bunch?? ;) Smiles all around for everyone… okay, getting kind of carrried away here. Hahaha I didn’t even go there with my innocent *ahum*, fragile *double ahum* mind, but yes… Nurse!Alice can rub anything she wants without complaints from me :D Also LMAO at the shower labeling thing. Why would anyone need more than 2 knobs right?? (Get your head out of the gutter woman! (Then 3 is the more accurate number right ;))*Steps out of the gutter herself :)* Anyway, loved it!
I am really sorry for not commenting earlier on this great Danish story. Am glad to see that Al and Dana get to know each other better. They seem to establish their relationship by sharing their past and their future plans with each other. But Alice being a nurse? I’m pretty sceptical there, lol. Also like the fact that Shane and Alice have such a strong bond and that Shane got to meet Dana. She’s like Alice’s big sister and looking out for her. That’s so damn cute. It definitely makes it easier that Shane approves of Dana. Way to go Dane, lol. Danish all the way through:-))) Keep up the good work, MaGoose! I’ll be here to read your next chapter…
Hiya MaG! I have to tell ya that Alice is so cute making sure she is taking care of Dana. I was laughing at how she explained the shower knobs! LMAO! Even funnier, was Dana just walking out of said shower without bothering to figure out how to turn it off!! ROFLMAO! I want you to know, that there is a find young lady and author, who is in Ecuador at this time, and not able to access the site. She requested that a mutual friend send copies of my story (why I have no clue), but when we spoke, I asked “Is there any other writer on the site you would like me to copy their stories in an email to you so you won’t fall too far behind over the month. She said, yes…MaGoose. So there you have it! You are being read in Ecuador, while this young nursing student tries to help the less fortunate. So…not pressure or anything Ma, BUT….you are part of her quiet moments….so…guess you’ll have to be sure to post FREQUENTLY! ;- )

Hey, firstly sorry i didnt comment ur last chapter just caught up been off fan fic for a while im just so busy lately, hench my story not bein posted lol. Secondly LOVED this chapter and last chapter. They are becoming so close in sucha cute way obviously circumstances are good but still. And agen u done it in such a real believable way. I cant wait for ur next post and see how things progress between the two new lovers or soon to be im hoping :) PPS love ur story. x x

Dammit, not first this time. Drat. Oh wells, I’m not on the ball. My apologies. I really liked this one! But I always love it when people are able to talk to each other, and it seems like these two are able to do that easily. Alice is a big piece of adorkable with her mumblings about labeling the shower knobs. That’s totally something I would do if I were a billionaire and had a complicated shower. She’s gonna have to laminate the labels though, or they’ll get all soaked and unreadable. Why am I analyzing the labels so much?? Who knows. Anyway, I love this and I think you’re the bee’s knees. Hello MG… the way you imbue your words with emotions… and tension… is incredible… you include so much detail into the souls of these two woman and it can only create a bond between the readers and the characters and that is a rare gift amongst writers… bravo… hmmmmm… other then that all I have is you are completely brilliant… and wow… yeah I think I might try my hand at a small danish piece soon enough… hugs, JC
