Alice spent the time before lunch making sure that Dana was fully initiated into the Mile High Club as well as renewing her own membership. After lunch they headed to the main passenger compartment to check on the status of the poker game. Shane was currently out, but, planning to buy back in after she was done eating. She waved Dana over as Alice made her way through the cabin talking to various people.
Shane waited to start talking until Dana sat down next to her. “I wanted you to know that you will need to keep a close eye on Alice when we land.”
Dana was instantly concerned. Was there a threat she wasn’t notified about?
Shane read her easily. “It’s nothing like that, Dana. It’s just that Alice spends a lot of time on the island. When she does travel, she gets a bit freaked out the first couple days. I mean… Going to your hometown wasn’t too bad, but, New York really gets to her.”
“I’m not sure I understand.” Dana said with a little frustration to her voice. If Alice was going to have any problem, she wanted to make sure she understood it fully.
“You’ll notice it, too, when we get off the plane. Besides the noise, people, and air quality there is an electricity of being in a big city that does not exist on the island. It throws Alice off kilter. She tends to make it worse by trying to get out and acclimatize herself the first night rather than getting rest. Anyway… I usually don’t leave her side for the first couple days there, but, I guess you can do that now.” Shane gave a slight grin. “I guess you wouldn’t want me sleeping in bed with you guys anyway.”
Dana gave a shocked look and then an answering grin. “Yes, Shane, I think it is safe to say that you can stick to your own bed when I am around Alice.” Then she grew serious again. “Is it really that bad?”
“You’ll notice the difference. It took me a couple trips before I understood what was going on. I’m not sure she really gets it. Just stay close and it’ll be fine.”
“Thanks, Shane.” Dana said sincerely. They went on to chat about the game for a bit until Alice came back to sit with them.

YES! Im quick with the comment agen lol. I have to say it AWWW U ended tht chapter perfectly tht was just so sweet wat Dana sed to Alice. I loved Dana being ready to let people know about their relationship as well :) You did make me giggle with yet another bet made on Al and D and the marriage one being next lmao. Kudos to u on posting so soon :D Glad Dana is there to look after Al.
