    the L saga: Episode Forty

“Why are you telling me this?”

“I’m just being a friend, and I want you to know that you keep acting like this. You’ll end up alone.”

“I don’t want to be alone.” Jenny sniffed and wiped her eyes. “I don’t want to be alone.”

“You won’t, just change your ways.” Jenny kissed Moira’s hand and rubbed it.

“I can’t believe that Shane doesn’t want to go to the funeral with me. I never would have thought that she would turn away.”

“You don’t have to worry baby girl—she’ll come around.” Kit patted Carmen’s back.

“Yeah—she’ll probably apologize and explain how much of an asshole she was.” Alice nodded.

“You’re not helping the situation Al.” Dana shook her head.

“I’m just telling the truth. I know Shane like the back of my hand.” Alice looked at her hand. “I don’t remember that being there.”

“Anyways,” Carmen giggled softly. “I just wanted her to be there with me.”

“You shouldn’t beat yourself up about it Carmen. You know how Shane gets from time to time.” Tina nodded. Dana looked up at the customer who walked into the Planet.

“Uhh—hate to cut the conversation short, but isn’t that Marina?”

“Where?” Alice snapped her head around and saw Marina walking towards the counter. “Oh my God—it is Marina. What is she doing here?”

“It’s been what—three years.” Tina looked over and saw her.

“It’s been a very long time since we’ve all seen her—except you my dear.” Kit said to Carmen.

    “Who is she?”

“She was the original owner of the Planet.” Kit started off.

“She was friend with all of us and then she met Jenny.” Tina spoke.

Alice nodded. “She was infatuated with Jenny the first time they laid eyes on each other.”

“But—Jenny was with someone at the time she began “talking” to Marina.” Dana added.

Kit tagged in. “Basically—Jenny and Marina had a thing while leaving her boyfriend in the dark.”

“Her boyfriend did find out eventually.” Alice cut in. “He found them in the shed with Marina’s head between Jenny’s legs.”

    “Ouch.”

“Yeah—to cut a long story short, he left Jenny. Jenny left Marina, and Marina tries to kill herself. She went back home, and that was the last we heard of her, but Bette and I found out that she was married to a very wealthy man.” Kit nodded. “I don’t know how that girl did it.”

    2. Aw ACB, My heart goes out to you during this tough time. As for the story, it is awesome to see you weaving the lives and loves of the gang into a rich and beautiful tapesty. Looks like Carmen and Paige will have a few things in common. I do get the feeling that Bette and Marina’s days of secret seclusion are numbered. Jenny and Moira do need to sirt things out to move forward. Sonja and Helena are just fabulous together but am sure that Kit and Bette will have more to say on this relationship. And who the hell is Erica Lawer? Have a feeling that she is gonna turn everythin on its head. Yes, please. Can’t wait for further adventures of the L Saga. Many thanks for a delightful tale.
