SHIT ! – You really messed that up didn’t you Porter ? I get up and retrieve my dress for tonight – a long flowing strapless black ball gown. I wonder if Tina is going to wear that white dress or not – she says it will upstage me.
Does she think I care about that ? The most beautiful woman in the world – of course she will upstage me – and I will be proud to walk beside her.
I am ready with five minutes to spare and hurry downstairs to greet the others – Carmen is standing with Shane – she is really beginning to show. I stare at her wondering how I proud I will feel when Tina is so visibly carrying my daughter.

I’m glad to see the jackass is relaxing her sphincter. While blowing smoke rings out of doors is an impressive feat, Shane’s reading has been a little too narrow. Going outside to smoke and popping a mint after isn’t good enough. Studies have shown that even when parents do this religiously, there is still a negative impact on the offspring (low birth weight, lung problems, etc.). Nicotine can be absorbed through the skin and adversely affects MANY systems. Bette and Shane need to quite smoking all together. Besides, with all the hyper-hormone sex before birth and then the new babies, who’s going to have time to smoke?
Bette needs to get a grip and lighten up! She can’t afford to be a jackass right now, especially during this difficult time! Please continue ASAP!
Talking to Shane is just what the doctor ordered. When they get back to the Residence, Tina should let Bette know that she smelt smoke on her and ask her about smoking. Bette is stressing out way too early. She will have plenty of time to stress out later.
