    Will Tina leave Ella with Leigh and Lucy ?

     

    Tina is gradually getting stronger – sleeping as much as she can and slowly walking more each day. And me? I am just loving the time away from politics and loving the time with Tina and Ella – I am very content.

     

     

    I leave Tina dozing and go in search of our daughter who is in her nursery. I stop at the door and look at Leigh who is sitting in the rocking chair holding Ella and just beaming at her. Leigh – after taking forever to get her ass here to see her niece has just fallen in love with her. She begs to be allowed to do anything that Ella needs. Lucy and Leigh took her for a walk this morning – both of them wildly in love with one Ella Kennard-Porter – who can blame them?

     

    “Hey “

     

    “Hey sis – she was awake so I picked her up “

    “That’s okay “

     

    I sit on the window seat and watch them – Ella is looking at Leigh who is pulling faces at her and she is smiling at her.

    “I thought you didn’t like babies the length of time it took you to get her and meet her “

     

    “There is so much going on and I guess I didn’t want to push myself in “

     

    “Leigh – you are my half sister – I want you around – I want to get to know you and I want you to feel part of my family “

    “Mom would have loved to meet Ella “

    “I would have liked that “

    “She was a really good knitter – she would have made some beautiful clothes for her “

     

    “I remember she had a stall at the school fete – all her own work – sweaters and scarves and blankets “

     

    Leigh nods “She did that every year – she sat down the night after the fete had ended and made a start on things for the following year “

     

    “Do you think there are any items left?”

    Leigh thinks about it “I could look – it would be awesome if there was something that Ella could have – great – I’ll take Lucy tomorrow “

    8. AllyE you are writing a wonderful story and I love every minute I spend reading it. For a chapter such as thisone, I will go back and read it again. You give a lot of lessons in love, trust, faith and tolerance in your stories. You are doing a great favor for women loving women, actually for anyone willing to give their heart to someone else.
