“Do you want to go and get her ?”
I raise an eyebrow at Tina
“Comedy routines now Madam First Lady ?”
“Famous for them “
She kisses me on my lips before heading out of the room. I lie back and listen to her greeting our daughter. Even by just listening its clear how much Ella loves and trusts Tina – she is just brilliant with her. But then – modesty aside – I am pretty good with her as well sometimes I can get her to sleep when no one else – my mother-in-law included ! After a few minutes Tina comes into our room carrying Ella who is looking around her and holding onto her momma’s hair. I cannot stop myself – I beam at what this sight represents – my family. One that no one is ever going to take away from me – I lost one family – I am not going to lose another.

Resting is one thing but there is also a fine line between that and being bored. And I have a thresh-hold for boredom which is particularly low. That said – I am so NOT bored at the moment. Its been a great family afternoon – just the three of us and no interruptions and nothing demanding other than keeping Ella amused. Then once she has been settled down for the night its just the two of us and I could never be bored spending quality alone time with my wife. She is standing looking over the box-sets that she has brought up to our room and I am sitting on our bed watching her.
“So what do you want to watch ?”
“I don’t mind “
She looks at me with a raised eyebrow
“That’s not like not to have a very definite opinion about our viewing “
“The painkillers are making me drowsy “
“Okay – we’ll just channel hop “
She comes back across to our bed – she is wearing light blue pyjamas and with her long blonde hair tied back she looks so young and vulnerable. If there is one thing that Tina most certainly is not is vulnerable – and if anyone thinks she is – then they are the ones in peril. She jumps onto the bed and kisses me

HE AllyE, Great to have more tof this fabulous fan fiction to catch up with. I just love how Tina manages to soften Bette’s bite with a few gentle glances and soft words. I really think that Bette needs to sort things out with Melvin. Tina is pushing her towards this and Bette is tredding water. Time to shout up and listen to her father. Shame about the ankle but it did make me laugh thinking of the POTUS falling over like the rest of us, mere mortals. Hysterical. Can’t wait for your next wonderful post. Another great chapter from this very interesting story AllyE. Tina is the balm that soothes the savage beast Bette. AS for Lucy ever thinking that Bette might have been a drag queen, I don’t see how she could have ever thought such a thing. Lucy must have had very little experience with knowing what a drag queen looks like if she confused Bette as one. Bette is the farthest thing from looking like a drag queen. I don’t remember reading that early on and I must go back and find the comment just to satisfy my mind. One of these days Bette will have to forgive Melvin even if he erred on the side of caution and his love for his daughter. As this scenario progresses I can only see more drama for Bette and Melvin and certainly plenty drama where Shane is concerned. Can not imagine what has sparked her lack of respect for POTUS but, we know Tina will set her straight and of course, Bette will also. Great post AllyE. Post when you can.

Hi Ally, Missed you when you were on your hiatus and admire your taking the time for yourself. Love all your stories and am busy catching up since I was gone for a while myself. Your stories are so great – IC could learn from you that not all drama has to involve cheating, oh well fanfic is the answer.

Again, I wonder what the hell is wrong with Shane. Loved the POTUS-FLOTUS banter and two thumbs up for your consistency, for referencing bits and pieces mentioned about the characters or the storyline 50 or 100 chapters ago. Lord knows how confusing it is to follow some of the storylines in the show because the basic details about the characters seem to be changing every season. So for your consistency, I applaud you! Thank you, Ally! :>
THERE you are funny, I have been looking all over for you! I have to agree with Shane here. Tina is furious with Shane cos she suggested the president come back to work? Kidding me? Bette has a twisted ankle! Not even broken, just sprained, and she is fine with blowing meetings off? Methinks these people gotta get a grip on a little proportion round there.
Poor Bette, hope she get better soon!
