    Bette gets mad – Tina is angry and talks to Peggy

    THE L WING

     

    Chapter 252

     

    Narration of First Lady Tina Kennard Porter

     

     

    I have a busy day planned so I get up before Bette and head off for a run to clear my head and prepare myself for what I have to handle. Peggy and I are flying down to Florida for a ceremony to honour those who have worked so hard and often paid the ultimate price in the space industry. Bette was supposed to be here and make a speech but she’s got to stay in Washington to meet the German PM who has just been elected and wants to do a deal with the US that her predecessor didn’t.

     

     

    So the compromise was reached that Peggy and I will go down to Florida – make speeches, shakes hands and look at some big rockets. I have only been running again for a few weeks after Ella’s birth so I cannot match the distances that Bette does but I get a good work out and come back and head for a long hot shower that totally refreshes me for what is going to be a long day. That done I am starving and really fancying some bacon and scrambled egg – preferable made by someone else. I go in the kitchen in search of juice and find Bette sitting at the table eating toast – Ella is beside her – she’s had porridge and is playing with a spoon

     

    “Good morning my fantastically beautiful family – how are you today Princess Ella?”

     

    I pick my daughter up and kiss her – she giggles and reaches for me – I still cannot believe how well she is progressing

     

    “And how is my just as gorgeous wife – President Bette?”

     

    I move to kiss her but she gets up and walks to the fridge to get herself the juice carton.

     

    When she turns back she finally looks and me and the look tells me instantly that I am in trouble. What exactly this

    trouble is I don’t know – I sit down with Ella and stroke her curly hair

     

    “What’s wrong?”

     

    Bette gives me another poisonous look and makes a great play of shaking her newspaper

    1. Bette needs 2 take her head out of arse. Man she has been a real bitch for so long, Tina does not deserve it. Heck pretty soon she may acuse her of having an affair or Ella not beings hers

    2. I do not like this nasty garbage spewing Bette. Tina should run for office in a year; the pot goes off the boil quickly. In 10 years Tina will be history. Bette is obviously hurt that the polls favor Tina. She should have been honest with Tina and shared those feelings of rejection instead of dumping shyt on her. Bette is very envious of her own wife’s popularity obviously. Her and Shane make a good pair let them couple up!!! [just joking, yuk at the thought] but I am angry enuff to think that right now B does not deserve T. She’s been self-indulging for months now over her mother etc. while Tina has been carrying her, their family etc. That’s exhausting stuff carrying another person around. Tina needs to give B a good dressing down when she returns home for not revealing about the polls and her feelings towards Tina which are laced by insecurity and envy. Get a life Bette Porter!!!! There is no reason why T can’t have a career and B can’t be a stay at home mother and maybe write a book and do something focused on ‘others’ rather than wanting to be center stage all the time!!

    3. Congrats on the 700th post AllyE, all have been wonderful and please bring on more. Like Tina I do think Bette is bristling over something to do with her mother and she is letting that color everything that happens to her. She really should not blame Tina for these things because it could damage her marriage. It’s good that Tina sees thru Bette’s antics even though she gets upset over the accusations as well. Bette has tunnel vision at the moment. Hopefully she will see the error of her ways. Post when you can.

    4. Congrats on 700! – and just a question… didn’t Tina and Bette vote in Wash D.C. for the last election? If so, as a resident of the District of Columbia Tina cannot run for Governor of Virginia, or North Carolina. You must be a resident of the state to run for governor. (The District of Columbia has its own government and is not part of Virginia.) So you can tell Bette to relax about it. ;-)

    5. We will take 700 more. Bette needs to take that chill pill…are you about to bring a bunch of Ally drama…I just have a feeling…more than just fighting. pps

    11. Bette certainly is being very pig-headed, and not giving Tina any credit for respecting her and their family. I think she does need a reality check. I suspect a good chat with Peggy may help Bette. Congrats, 700 wonderful posts!

    14. 700?! wow, congratulations, ally! i’d give you that massage in honor of your 700th post but i’m in the wrong side of the atlantic lol wonderful update! 2 arguments in a few days. bette does really have to chill out a bit and go back to discussing things with tina before flying off the handle.

    15. So prolific! And I’ve read almost all of them! It’s just that I hadn’t found the site when you started. You know, I don’t believe violence is a solution (and it makes me sick at the way most celebrities are keeping that lowlife scum Chris Brown in their ‘prayers’ ad much as his victim Rhianna (not that I know what either of them sound like.)) but Bette really deserved to be slapped. She isn’t going nuts like Shane, is she? They can keep each other company in the loony bin.

Thank you for the endurance to keep them coming and keep them up to your fabtastic standard. You have made me feel every emotion.On to this latest chapter, shame that Bette just reacts and does think things throught when she is dealing with Tina. This is just anger and frustration talking. Yeap, you always hurt the ones you love. Good to see4 Tina and Peggy having some quality discussions about now and the future. You ROCK! Your Loyal Fan.
