    “Hide my sexuality ? – no – it was never an issue with me but I can respect that for other women and men its more complicated. Its always hard to know how people will react. What you hope for is “ that’s okay – we still love you “ – what you fear is “ how can you be such a pervert – keep away from us “ – what you tend to get is “ yeah we knew – we have done for years -”

    “It can be – the hardest thing is only to be defined by your sexuality – I will probably always be “the lesbian President “ – it is what it is sadly. Holly – 20 years ago used to say that she would be known as the dyke actress and she wouldn’t get any roles as a straight woman. Its true sadly although there are a LOT of gay actors and actresses playing straight roles – the difference is that the public do not know that the actresses are gay “

     

    “How do you think the public would react if it had come out that she is gay ?”

     

     

    I sigh “The thing about Holly is that she has said in public that she isn’t gay – she has won large libel damages from any media who have said she is gay. “

     

    “And you cannot libel the dead “

    “No “

     

    We are both still watching the house blazing – the fire brigade are not having much luck in stopping the blaze. They are just going to have to wait it out and make sure that it cannot spread – which given that California has been suffering from forest fires is a serious worry I imagine.

     

    “Is there anything that you want me to do ?”

     

    I sip my drink

     

    “There isn’t anything you can do is there – all we can do is to follow how this unfolds. This fire is going to have to be put out first – then it will come out whether she is in there or not and then there will be an inquiry – what started it “

    1. Hey Ally, That was intense. First it was good to have CJ and Nette work through the loss of Holly and the effects of the fire. Then the reunion beteen Bette and Tina was a diaster. Tina really does need to trust her wife while Bette needs to answer Tina’s question. Now this is what Holly wanted – Bette and Tina moving away from each other. More please as this rension is unbearable. Many thanks again for sharing your stories with me, Your Loyal Fan and Friend.

    2. Well, that certainly was one way to ask Bette. Dang Tina…couldn’t approach by saying something like, ‘this is what some people may say about your motives, and you need to be prepared for that.’ No, she had to just come out and ask if Bette killed the woman! Ouch ouch…and OUCH!! LOL Love it Ms. Queen of Drama! Thanks!

    3. Excellent update. You write Bette in such a way as it is possible she ordered the torching but it went awry w/Holly being in the house. Or did Holly pay for the torching to cause Bette and Tina anxiety and maybe separation? You are THE Queen of Fanfic Drama.

    4. What an intense confrontation! Tina needs to be more tactful and trust Bette. Poor Bette. She must feel alone and hurt, even her wife and closest friends think that she is a murderer.

    6. I think time was against both. If Bette and Tina had learned of this together nothing would have happened. Tina would have seen Bette’s face and known that she had nothing to do with the fire but now Tina had time to think of all possibilities and had let fear cloud her better judgement.

    7. The very last thing Bette should do is leave the white house, she should stay there and talk with Tina and tell her that she had given info to the IRS, surreptitously. Tina should know that Bette wouldn’t have holly killed for any reason.Can hardly wait to see how this pays out between Bette and Tina. Alice should keep her damned mouth shut because she has all but accused the President of murder. AllyE, you retain your crown of Drama Queen. Thanks for posting.

    8. Well, why waste time – ask Bette straight out! I don´t believe Bette to be that kind of president, but then again I really don´t think Holly is dead either. She probably knew about the tax investigation and decided to torch the place herself. Great update. Thanks.

    10. funny I just have this convertation with my family and my uncle said that no one knows you better than your partner … and its true, Tina should know that Bette isnt like that..great post… PPS

    11. Just like in my previous comment. It’s so unfair for Bette that they even think that she’s capable of doing such a THING?..Man,that is Murder in any which way you see it? That’s huge….AND THEY KNEW BETTE?.. WTF?!
