    THE L WING

    CHAPTER 326

    NARRATION OF FIRST LADY TINA KENNARD PORTER


    I like it when I am invited to one of these less than formal gatherings of Bette and the senior staff. It reminds me what a fantastic team she has and also I just enjoy seeing Bette in action. I have been honoured to work with these women and when they are all together I can marvel afresh at what Bette has built around her. With the exception of Shane everyone is here – Alice, Dana, JJ, Phyllis, Henry, CJ and now Kate and Bernie – this is going to be entertaining for so many reasons. Everyone is standing around with a glass in their hands when Bette and I walk in.

    It’s a mark of the respect they all hold Bette in that when she walks into a room – it goes quiet.

    “Hello everyone – thank you for dragging yourself away from your work – I am sure that your staff are enjoying the peace as much as I hope you all enjoy lunch. I would like you to make Kate and Bernie welcome as after Christmas they will be joining us for the year that we have left. Just in case you do not know who this bunch of hooligans are – wearing cowboy boots – that’s Phyllis, beside her is the bravest man in America – Henry, then Dana – JJ, you have met CJ of course and the one with her mouth shut for once is Alice – enjoy Alice while you can because she is leaving next week to travel around the world with her partner who is Tina’s sister – heaven only knows what diplomatic incidents the two of them will spark “

    Bernie and Kate go across and are shaking hands and chatting while Bette tells the waiter to tell the kitchen staff that we would like to start lunch in about 15 minutes. She gets me a glass of wine and smiles at me

    “How has your morning gone ?”

    “Fine – Kit came in and I did the introductions to the staff and explained that Helena wanted to work with Peggy in the new year “

    “Did it go well ?”

    10. Drama, drama, I just knew that kate was going to be a problem. She’s just waiting for her right time to pounce. And Bette will want to kill her. Who was it that wanted her hired? Someone had better check her personal records to determine if she has had prior mental problems. Because if she is that obvious in her obsession of Tina then something is very seriously wrong with her and Bette needs to warn Tina about her. So it isn’t that she is wary or afraid of Tina, she’s just biding her time to make her intentions known. Oh my goodness, the potential for great harm to be done to this family by a lunatic is frightening. Great update.

    13. Well Ally… Looks like there won’t be any peace during Xmas in your L wing as Bette might be ready to launch all those weapons – aiming Kate, off course :-p lol.. Ok I am ready now, bring on the drama then ;-) ha3..

    14. I have so enjoyed this story and am sorry it ends here well I assume it does as I can find no more chapters.

      Ally it would be great if you picked up the story again to finish off Bette’s Presidency in the L Wing.

      I loved One and Only and Some Kind of Wonderful (it’s sequel) and again it would be great for the story to carry on.

      You are a great and entertaining writer and I look forward to you picking up your story telling again.

    17. Happy Holidays AllyE, great stories, I’ve been going back and reading your stories. Knowing that you are very busy with your career etc., just wanted to ask for more chapters on L Wing, One and Only, You’re My Home, And/or Something So Right as a Christmas present to us this year. Not having any info to the contrary, hope you still have Sir Rocky with you.. Hope things are well with you. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you. Take care of yourself and let us hear from you when you can.

      I love this fanfic – Bette Porter US President and amazing tibette story! and I hope one day to be continued :)

      Just wanted to let you know that I love your writing, I’ve read some of your stories but I’m most saddened by the fact that the l wing never saw an ending. Please consider giving your poor readers a beautiful ending to such a beautifully crafted story.
