The L WING — CHP 31
“I love you Bette ” she says suddenly after a few minutes silence.
I take hold of her hand.
” And I love you “
I return to my sandwich and smile to myself. She has no idea that I have already made plans to romance my beautiful girlfriend. And what’s the point in being President if you cannot make things happen that mere mortals cannot.
I am going to blow you away Tina Kennard.

Narration of Bette Porter.
I am not sure how I get through the day.
I like my sleep -in fact bed is my favourite venue and not just when I am sharing it with a beautiful blonde called Tina Kennard.
I have a four hour meeting with the British Foreign Secretary who I can remember from Oxford University as having acne and once drinking a bucket of snakebite for a bet.
I assume that he doesn’t remember me or the fact that he tried to get into my knickers on more than one occasion.
After the meeting I open the new wing of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and spend about two hours talking to the kids and their parents. It moves me that such lovely happy faced kids can have had to endure so much pain in their short lives. Tina and Lara are with me and they more than do their share of work as well. Tina cries at one point when an adorable four year old admires Tina’s hair and explains how the radiation therapy she is having means she misses her blonde hair.
In the car on the way back to the hotel I look at Tina who is deep in contemplation.
” You okay ?”
“It was heartbreaking you know “
“I do – Kit has a five year old grandson called Joe who I adore. I kept thinking about him.”
Tina shakes her head.
“Babe ?”
“I authorised putting that on the schedule because I decided in my nice office in the West Wing over a coffee and a Danish that it would be a good photo opportunity. God I can be such a bitch at times “
I reach across and take hold of her hand.

Yes, yes, those little dickens do require a great deal of thought. Or maybe just the opposited. If everybody completely thought this through I suspect there wouldn’t be a population problem. Say hello to LJ for me.

Technically speaking, when you just get a new laptop, you should keep her running for a correspondingly long time to warm her up (I’m not kidding). So why not try to write more chapters these days? ;)
Great update. I thought Bette was going to laugh when Tina bought up having kids…laugh in hysterics. LOL. It does take some thought…let’s hope Bette is up to that challenge. So you named your lappy LJ…so welcome LJ.
LJ is doing so well but SHE needs a few more chapter under her belt, Like 10,20 or maybe even 30. You could almost see Bettes face Her big doe eyes even larger. when Tina said kids. that was so funny. that was so funny. thanks
Right, I know I said Tina had a soft side, but hell fire kids after eight weeks, thats not soft thats slushy…ah, they really love each other.

Bette and Tina should probably have that make up sex from their earlier fight…you know, before the impending problems re: future plans together, set in. And then once they get through that angst, they can have more make up sex.
