The L Wing – Chapter 32
Narration of President Bette Porter.
” I want you Bette . If I can get my head around all of this – around having to take four secret service men if we want to go for a walk and if I can work on my demons — then — I think you and I would make great moms “
I kiss her and pull her into my arms.
WTF — kids ? Me ? Bette Porter have a family ? — she is talking about carrying it because I’m way too much of a coward to go through child birth right ? All the same – me as a mother ? God this is going to take some serious thinking.
Tina looks at me and smiles.
“Why have you never thought of having a family ?”
She moves so she is sitting with her legs crossed and her champagne glass in between. I lean back and stare for a few minutes at the ceiling.
“I really struggle to make friends Tina and this job has made it about three million times worse. All my life I’ve been a loner – I told you the other day that I went into politics to please my dad. Well I also started because I was lonely and it was a way of meeting people. I know so many people but I’m not really close to them you know. There’s just Shane and to a lesser extent Alice – it was stupid appointing them to my team because they cannot tell me when I’m being an ass anymore. Too afraid I’ll fire them “
“You’d never fire either of them and they know it – which is why we have all vowed to drink the Kool-Aid if we were in danger of putting you at risk “
I smile ” I know that and it drives me mad – I don’t want anyone to do that — never mind “
Tina touches my thigh.
“Who was your best friend in school ?”
“Didn’t have one “
“No one ?”
“I had friends but no one I’d say I was that close to “
“Who did you go to your Prom with ?”

GULP!!!Sweet jesus that one blew me away…ive loved every chapter of this story..But i think youve surpassed youself with this one and not just because its NC17..(Tho it helps its one of your best..lol)but also theres a deeper connection forming between them and its amazeing reading it as you bring it to life with each chapter,i love your NC17s…. but i love that its more than sex.
Lordy Miss Ally, that sure was nice. But is that really the way to make important decisions? Not that I’m complaining, I’m in no way liable.
Bravo, Ally and LJ! LJ might not have had a meltdown but I thought my laptop was going to from the steaminess of this chapter. Like Jackiee1, I sense dram re: the ex’s…I hope Tina is jealous this time (sorry, that’s risidual S3 anger coming through).
Ahhhh the madian voyages of LJ continue successfully. I think that she is up above 40 nots now with FULL steam ahead. Great job Ally. I hope our girls are careful at the dinner because they could be very easily outed be an ex by leting jealousy or a carless glance get the better of them. I can hardly wait :o)

Well, what is there to say about that chapter. Heart and soul, B & T’s were both laid bare in that chapter, and I believe you put yours into writing it – it shows mate, one of your best chapters recently! Full of emotion, feeling, depth and sincerity. Amazing job.

LJ has done a wonderful job with her first NC-17, I’m still trying to catch my breath. We all are very very bad and eagerly waiting for another chapter! Finally they’re talking and discussing things, I was glad to see Tina starting to open up to Bette. Oh yeah, and that Stalin quote.. I think most people misinterpret it.
