    Day One of Bette and Tina being out in public

     


    You are so special Bette

     

    I was thinking that about you actually.


     

     


    She picks up another newspaper and we spend a great 45 minutes lazily reading the papers, eating breakfast and enjoying each other.

     

     

     

    For once we do not leave the Residence separately. I walk her to her new office which is closer to the Oval Office than before – something that could save me vital seconds when I need to see her and we stand smiling at each other.

     


    I will see you in the Senior Staff meeting okay Tina

     


    I see you every morning in that meeting Bette.

     

     


    I know.

     


    I know I am acting like an idiot but I do not care – I am so love struck with Tina – and at last I do not have to pretend that she is just my Press Secretary – she is now Senior Communication Manager – a title suggested by Alice.

     


    I want to kiss you.

     

     

    No Bette – we act professionally in the West Wing as we always have – its even more important than before.

     


    I know.

     


    How about we have lunch in the Residence if you can find the time?

     


    I will make the time – you are my priority Tina.

    Well it helps that Tina is so attractive and so obviously a democrat – she could be a real election asset. There will be problems from the usual types — some of the more rabid types are saying that the country will never accept a gay President and a partner.

     


    I know – I was watching some of the coverage this morning.

     


    The party will get used to it Bette – when do we get news of the early opinion polls ?

     

    This time tomorrow — I am hoping that the
    two of us going out for the first time as a couple will make us look more acceptable.

    19. OMG! All the whike I’ve been thinking this is the calm before the proverbial storm. Little hints along the way, Power of Attorney, Clinton assassination, Ford Theatre – and then, BAM, final paragraph and all hell. Perhaps Tina’s nightmares are explained by someone she loved having been killed in Afghanistan and her not having been able to protect them? History repeating itself?     45. OMG, Ally, you’re so cruel to end the chapter like this and leave us hanging! Well, I imagine it’s not Bette or Tina (that’s my hope speaking), but it’s quite a pity that Bette’s white dress is stained (well, I just assumed it’s stained, since she said it feels moist).

    46. What! Are their shots at the theater or is that just part of the play??? I’ma little confused here. And not that I don’t understand Bette wanting to make love to her wife but every now and again a person just wants to be fu**ed. Now I don’t know what Tina’s deal was but would it have been so hard for Bette to just screw her wife in the moment. Sorry soon to be wife that is. I think this is going to become a bigger problem in their relationship than one would think but i guess i’ll just have to wait and see where you take this sory next. Can’t wait!
