How’s it going with you all out in the wilderness? Missing any of your creature comforts yet like I dunno, clean clothes, a good home cooked meal or shock horror, your phone? Only kidding bro, although I’m still shocked you want to spend a year tracking the mountains, good on you, big sis is proud of you. We all miss you like crazy, the place is so much quieter without you. So your letters are getting few and far between, come on you know I’m dead curious about your travels, I need regular updates. How’s that boyfriend of yours getting on out in the wilderness, the shock wore of yet?

So ok, there is a reason why I’m writing you this letter.baby bro, you’re an uncle. That’s right, Alice has just given birth to your 8lb 5oz, niece. We finally decided to call her Ava Kate Piesecki Fairbanks. Oh Howie, she is absolutely gorgeous. She has little tufts of blonde hair and the biggest blue eyes. Her cheeks are all rosy and chubby, she’s just adorable.10 fingers and toes, all present and correct. She has really long legs and fingers. You know, I think she’s going to be the athletic type. I wonder what age Alice will let me start teaching her tennis. Alice is adamant that we let her find her own way, you know, she tells us what she wants to learn. But I mean, a child needs sport to be healthy and what healthier sport than tennis, right? I think I’ll be able to win her round, besides there’s no way Alice wont teach her about music, just you wait. I hope the picture is clear enough for you, although in my humble opinion it does not do her justice. Oh Howie, I cant explain how it felt to hold her for the first time. I mean, I knew I would be overcome with love, but nothing prepared me for the actual feeling. Just one look at that face and my heart melted. I’ve never felt so overprotective towards anyone in my life. I know any man that breaks my baby’s heart will be in for a whole lot of trouble. Only kidding, but Howie I never knew my heart could hold so much love, but it does. I am absolutely head over heels in love with 2 amazing girls, my Alice and my Ava.
