    Tina and Henry

    THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD – CHP 7

     

    A young man stood at the door carrying the hugest bunch of yellow roses that she had ever seen – and she had sent Tina hundreds of bunches over the years. She took the flowers and removed the card.

    I HAVE MISSED YOU FOR EVERYONE OF THE LAST 721 DAYS T x

    Oh God – she knew how many days it had been as well. She was just looking for a vase when some else knocked at the door – another young man this time carrying a gift basket containing bottles of bubble bath and massage oils – Bette took the card and read it

    LOVE ALWAYS FINDS A WAY.

    Downstairs Tina was just walking out of the gift shop putting her gold credit card into her wallet and smiled to herself – this was Operation Porter – and she knew how to win her wife back.

     

     

    Chapter Seven.

     

    Tina should really have gone back to work but she knew that she was too excited about the thought of spending the evening with Bette. She stopped half way between the office and Henry’s house for a coffee and a ice cream – she needed to make some decisions.

     

    She and Henry were history – that she knew the second Bette turned to her outside the church and looked into her eyes. In that split second Tina had realised the void that had been missing in her life for two years. The huge hole that had previously been filled by her best friend – her soul mate – the woman who knew Tina Kennard inside and out.

     

     

    Bette Porter had an instinct for Tina that no one else ever could – only Bette knew whether Tina wanted tea or coffee in the morning – only Bette could read Tina’s body language so when she would walk through the front door would either keep out of the way, pour her a vodka or give her a hug.

     

    Tina wanted that back – the comfort and ease of knowing another person so well that words are superfluous . She would never have that with Henry for the simple reason that he wasn’t Bette. So regardless of what happened with Bette while she was in America – Tina couldn’t live with Henry. She would tell him later – move back into the house she had shared with Bette.

    1. Great update, and I am not feeling sorry for Henry at all because I think that he went into this thing with Tina with both eyes open. He was looking for a momma for Micky and got what he wanted out of their relationship. He knowingly tried to fool his self into believing that they were a great couple despite the fact that Tina still keep some of her things at her old house and never sold it. If you choose to fool yourself, then you are the fool and only have yourself to blame. He should really let this be the end of it. Loved seeing Bette comfort Tina again, or should I say T :o)

    4. Ally, I like both of your stories, but this one has really grown on me. At first I was a little scared but knowing how you feel about Bette and Tina, I placed my heart into your hands. I knew that you would take care of it. You have and even more. This is a very touching story and I can’t wait for the next update. There are so many unanswered questions that I am sitting on the edge of my seat to hear.

    10. Fantastic as usual! I was desperately hoping for an L wing chapter but this is rapidly becoming its equal! …I never was very decisive! And just incase you need any more revenge ideas for henry, how about sewing a couple of prawns in the hem of his curtains, or sprinkling mustard/cress seeds on his carpet and then watering them! After 4 days the house will smell like a fish market and he’ll have a lovely new green carpet! A mate of mine did the cress seeds and wow did it work! Thanks for all your posts, Ally, always a pleasure to read em!

    14. Wow, things are evolving pretty quickly. For a second I thought Tina was going to torch Henry’s house. Glad she stopped short of that. Maybe in addition to the creosote, she should have taken a page from Alice’s book and applied a liberal coating of poopy-shit to Henry’s belongings. Can’t blame him for being hurt, but he was an asshole.

    18. Love the story and I WANT THE NUMBER OF THAT TALKING CLOCK IN LONDON. PLEASE. This chapter was great and knowing that they still feel the same for each other is super. No let them get back together, have a family and live happily ever after. I do believe in “happy ever after.” Tina must go to London and be there when the baby is born, they must do this together to make up for the son they lost.They will have a hard time of it but they will get through it. Thank you.

    24. Henry made a a big mistake,I believe Tina would have left without a fuss or mess if he had been muture enough .Pay back is hell. Maybe they can get some thing worked out and Tina will go back to England for Bette to help her with the baby. thanks
