“You passed out.”
“Alice.” Dana sat up, and Jean pressed her hand against her chest.
“She left Dana—I’m sorry.” Dana felt her heart break inside her chest. “You need to lie down and get some rest.”
“Alice…” Dana lay back down, and Jean caressed Dana’s hair.
“Everything’s going to be okay.” Dana began to close her eyes again. “You’re safe now.”

Shane took a drag of her cigarette as she walked the streets of LA. Her hood was covering her face as she walked past people. Somebody bumped into her, and she dropped her cigarette. The person kept walking, and Shane turned around.
“Hey asshole! Watch where you’re going!” The guy turned around and flicked Shane off. “Son of a bitch,” she went after the guy. The guy looked back at Shane and smiled as he went down in the alley. Shane followed him, and the man stopped. “What the fuck is your problem?”
“Back off!” The guy shot his hand down as flames appeared.
“This should be fun.” Shane smiled as her eyes began to glow. She threw her arms out as the flames began to build.
“Enough Pyro. You did your job.” Pyro backed off, and another man appeared. “Hello Shane.”
“How did you know my name?” She calm down and looked at the man walking towards her.
“I know more than what you think.” He stood in front of her.
“Who are you?”
”Someone that you can trust—someone that will take care of you.”
“How the fuck can I trust you?”
“Because we’re just like you my dear. We’re mutants—we’re the future of this world.”
“Who are you?”
“I’m Magneto.”
“Magneto? Wait a minute—,” she looked at him. “I heard about you.”
“You probably have my dear. I’m the man that they tried to get rid of.”
“Who are they?”
“The humans. They don’t care—they’ll kill you if you let them.”
Pyro smiled and walked over to Shane. “We want you to join us.”
“Join what?”
“Our brotherhood. We need someone with your ability—strength and fire. Good combinations.” Magneto grinned.

Dana and Jean, Hot! Can’t wait for that possiblity. Shane joined the brotherhood huh. This should be intresting. Again I love this story. My friends and I talked about it forever last night. Oh the possiblities. PPS ;)

I like the subtle subtext with Logan thinking that Dana is trying to steal Jean away from her. And I like how Shane is joining the brotherhood :) Hopefully we can brainstorm again :) Once again nice installment. Keep up the good work.

Shane joining the baddie should be fun…in my head i imagined her to be more of an iceman type..but will be patient with your developement of characters. Shy Dana macking on Jean Grey….sweet thought.
