Def Leppard – Long Long Way To Go

Tonight is make or break.  Mark drives in his car and heads for a place he hasn’t been in a long time, Jenny & Shane’s.  The first thing he notices as he pulls in are several vehicles parked outside of the house as well as some parked next door at Bette & Tina’s.  Shane gave him a heads up that some friends might be dropping by to watch and critique.  Now, instead of hoping to get final approval from Jenny, Shane and Carmen over the contents of the film his attitude becomes that of marching into battle.  What’s taken over a year to complete could very well come crashing down into nothing over the course of the next couple of hours.  Mark knows however, that’s the chance one takes in a venture like this.  He closes his eyes and clutches the documentary before finally stepping towards the house upon parking his car on the side of the street.  This is it.

It’s the end of a long day of work for Candace as she has now finished a patio project for a client.  Candace presents it to the owner of the house and customer, Chandra.

Chandra: Wow…I love it!

Candace: Take a look around.

Chandra walks around the patio now situated at the backdoor of her house.  She marvels at the work and opens up her checkbook, filling out the payment.

Chandra: Candace…wonderful, wonderful job on this!

Candace: Glad ya liked it.

Chandra looks around and up at the sky as the Sun begins to set.  She has an idea.

Chandra: I don’t know about you, but I’m in a mood to celebrate.  What are you doing Friday Night?

Candace tilts and turns her head slightly.

Candace: Excuse me?

Chandra: You heard me, what are you doing Friday Night?

Candace: I…Um….uhh…probably doing something with my girlfriend…

Candace shrugs.  Chandra smiles.

Chandra: Great!  Friday Night, this house is going to turn into a party pad.  So bring yourself and your date.

Candace: Party, huh?

Chandra: Yes.  If you can’t make it, that’s fine.  Just more drinks for the rest of us.  But hopefully you can make it.

Candace: I’ll think about it.

As Chandra begins planning a big bash for the end of the Week, Mark finds himself face to face with quite a few people with their arms crossed.  Shane, Carmen, Jenny, Bette, Tina, Alice, Lara, Tonya, Helena, Max and Marina are all waiting.  Mark can tell that this may be a tough crowd.
