    A B/T romantic comedy

     

    Tina absently sat on her couch looking at the television as she waited for Bette to arrive. She glanced at her bursting at the seams briefcase that rested by her feet and she wondered once again if she had gone slightly overboard. Alice’s advice that she should take both casual clothes and also stylish ones was completely useless.

    “I had figured that out by myself.” Tina muttered aloud as she remembered her friend’s phone call.

     

    “Take the outfit you are going to wear at the ceremony.”

    Tina rolled her eyes.

    “Why, Alice, I hadn’t thought of that. Thank you for reminding me.”

    “Hey, no need to get snippy. Ok, so take a couple of pairs of jeans, tank tops, t-shirts, a couple of sweaters and a jacket or two because it might get nippy at night, comfortable footwear, chic footwear, oh and take that dress you wore the other night. I swear it had been a long time since I had seen that many heads turning to check someone out. So dresses are a must too, take a couple. Oh and sexy underwear, Bette won’t even know what hit her…”

    “Alice, it’s an act. We are not really dating, remember?”

    “Yeah, but you want it to be a believable act. Don’t you? Nothing wrong with sparking that good old Porter lust.”

    “Alice!”

     

    Tina felt her face heat up as she remembered the few pairs of lingerie she had packed. But only because they went with the outfits, boxer shorts and tight dresses don’t mix too well, she thought rationally. 

    Someone rang the bell at the building’s door. She took a deep breath and went to answer. 

    “Hello?”

    “Hi. It’s Bette.”

    “Ok, I’m coming down.”

    “Ok.”

     

    Tina picked up her things and after a quick look around to make sure she wasn’t leaving anything important behind she walked out the door. Oh God, I hope I packed my PJs was the thought that followed her to the elevator.

     

    Bette was leaning against the side of her car talking on her cell phone when she saw Tina exit her building. Unconsciously her eyes moved over the blonde’s body. She had never seen her in casual clothes before but she quickly decided she liked the look. The blonde wore jeans and a t-shirt the way they were made to be used, with a sexy unassuming relaxed confidence.

    6. This story is adorable. I love how intuitive Tina is regarding Bette’s feelings..and how she reacts to things to make Bette feel more at ease. Hope they do some of that flirting they tried in the car in front of their crowd. PPS.

Love the story and so happy that you have a hyperactive imagination and that you love “our girls.” Hopefully when the girls get on the dance floor those special feelings will surface and give them goosebumps. Then the game is on and they will find that they really do like each other. This is gonna be so much fun. PPS

    11. Oh! PPS! I am so intrigued to find out what types of events are going to comprise a four-day wedding. So many opportunities for flirting! Can they reflect back on what happened after the dance on their introductory date? I am dying to know what happened – how did the date end? I am assuming well because they are now at the wedding.     20. Alice is a riot, but it seems she has caught on to the effect that Bette and Tina have on one another. I can’t wait to watch Bette and Tina fall for each other and the side bonus of Jodi having to face your idiocy is just icing on the cake. Your story ROCKS!
