    A B/T romantic comedy

    She ended the call and walked over to meet the blonde halfway.

    “Hi.” Bette smiled and pushed her sunglasses up to rest on her head. “Do you need help?”

    “Hey. Nah, I’ve got it.” Tina smiled a bit sheepishly as she met the brunette’s eyes. “I went a bit overboard, hum?”

    Bette chuckled and shook her head. “I did the same. It’s hard enough deciding what to wear to a regular wedding, never mind one that lasts for four days.”

     

    Bette opened the trunk of her car and Tina looked inside to see a couple of elegant suitcases that were definitively looking fuller than the manufacturer probably intended for them to ever be.

    The brunette shrugged her shoulders trying to appear nonchalant. “People are going to stare anyway so the least I can do for them is look good.”

    And suddenly Tina was feeling pretty glad for going overboard with her packing.

    “They won’t know what hit them.” She said softly with a smile looking at the brunette. Tina thought that Bette looked beautiful. She had her hair tied back and it really brought out the pureness of her features, her lean nose, her strong chin and her big dark expressive eyes, eyes that were now free of the trepidation Tina had seen in them before.

    Bette smiled back and picked up the blonde’s briefcase to put it away.

    Tina’s eyes were drawn to the brunette’s arms where defined muscles bulged with the effort.

    Won’t know what hit them, indeed, Tina thought and she swallowed the extra moisture that had suddenly gathered in her mouth.

     

    “Ok. Let’s go?” Bette asked as she closed the trunk of her car with a clang.

    Tina nodded and got in the silver Lexus where she was joined by Bette a second later.

    “So how long will it take us to get there?” The blonde asked to break the silence.

    “A couple of hours depending on traffic.” Bette answered as she expertly backed the car out of the parking space.

     

    Traffic was as always a mess.

    Bette was on the phone with the university while Tina was sending e-mails on her PDA to tie up some loose ends that she had left at work. Once in a while she would glance to her left to watch amusedly out of the corner of her eye Bette cursing the traffic jams under her breath in between phone calls.

    6. This story is adorable. I love how intuitive Tina is regarding Bette’s feelings..and how she reacts to things to make Bette feel more at ease. Hope they do some of that flirting they tried in the car in front of their crowd. PPS.

Love the story and so happy that you have a hyperactive imagination and that you love “our girls.” Hopefully when the girls get on the dance floor those special feelings will surface and give them goosebumps. Then the game is on and they will find that they really do like each other. This is gonna be so much fun. PPS

    11. Oh! PPS! I am so intrigued to find out what types of events are going to comprise a four-day wedding. So many opportunities for flirting! Can they reflect back on what happened after the dance on their introductory date? I am dying to know what happened – how did the date end? I am assuming well because they are now at the wedding.     19. Leave it to Alice to say something to make everyone uncomfortable!! I’m loving the story. Tina jumped right into character. How far will she go to ‘relax’ Bette?

    20. Alice is a riot, but it seems she has caught on to the effect that Bette and Tina have on one another. I can’t wait to watch Bette and Tina fall for each other and the side bonus of Jodi having to face your idiocy is just icing on the cake. Your story ROCKS!
