“Oh, I’m sorry,” Bette groaned, turning onto her back. “What time is it?”
“What – did you sleep through one of your lectures, too?”
“No, I only have one on these days, and it’s in the morning. I went in to work for a while, but I’m off for the rest of the day. I’m lucky today. That I didn’t have to kick you out of my bed, huh?”
Tina smiled and laid back down, figuring there was no use in changing and driving to school just to catch the last ten minutes of class. “I really love you, you know that?”
Bette closed her eyes again and reached out for Tina. “I love you too.”
“No … you have to open your eyes and look at me and say it,” she teased, whining playfully until Bette opened her eyes wide and made a face.
“I. Love. You.”
“That’s better,” Tina giggled, turning onto her stomach to watch Bette’s eyes close again. She inched a little closer. “Want me to make lunch for you?”
“Not hungry,” Bette smiled, sensing Tina’s strange position. And with her messy past, such moments with Tina made her forget every injustice – every past injury. She was so happy that sometimes she couldn’t stand it.
“Well … if I make something, will you try it?”
“Of course,” Bette smiled, pulling the covers up under her arm to shift her legs around for comfort. There was one cold spot that soothed her, and she finally relaxed again. “But be careful in there. I don’t want you to burn yourself on the stove …”
“What do you think I’m gonna do? Sit on it?” Tina laughed, climbing back out of bed. She looked back at Bette’s humorous expression, and tugged a big at the shirt. “What? Do you like the way this looks on me?”
Bette couldn’t help but stare at Tina’s figure in the doorway – the shirt tugging around large breasts and the shorts tight around Tina’s hips. Bette fought very hard to keep her eye contact instead of letting her sight drift over the tempting physique. “I uh … yeah. I … like it.”
“Well I’m gonna go make something really simple while you just reel your tongue back into your mouth.” She was off before Bette could think of a tease of her own. Bette could hear her calling from down the hall. “What do you feel like?”
Blond. Bette entertained to herself, rubbing her hands over her face. “Sandwiches …?”
“Master chef – at your command!” Tina chuckled, already in the kitchen barefoot, opening the cupboards to find the plates. “Where do you keep your bread?”
“Master chef at my command, uh huh,” Bette laughed quietly to herself, slipping out of the bed herself. “In the pantry!”
“Mmm … panties …” Tina whispered to herself, opening the small door to pull out the whole grain loaf before she finally saw that Bette had joined her in the kitchen. “Oh, hey baby.”
And just like that, it felt natural. Bette had never liked the term, but when Tina said it, all she wanted to do was smile. “Hey sugar.”
Tina moaned and set everything on the counter. “Now watch the master.”
Bette leaned onto the counter and watched every move of Tina’s hand and every strategy in the simple task. She watched closer than Tina knew, because in a way, Bette thought of her as a master of her heart. Not only had Tina surpassed Bette’s outer barriers, but she was crumbling the others without the struggle Bette would have figured. Tina was beautiful, she was able, and she knew more than Bette every hoped to know about love. So with her own focus and intrigue, Bette watched as Tina assembled the sandwiches. And what a delightful sight it was.

Thank you for the second post today. This story keeps getting better and better. I love that Tina told Bette what happened right away and didn’t let her fear get in the way of keeping Bette informed of Helena’s actions.
Whew caught up! I think the best way for Bette to surpass all her pain is to confront Helena once and for all without fear and put her in her place
Hey GrindRight, So let me get this straight , Helena didn’t know how to satisfy Bette and as a result she lost her .When she realizes Bette is finding happiness with Tina she wishes to destroy their relationship.I guess it’s true you can’t make anyone else happy if you are not happy with yourself. I absolutely loved the bed scene. Yeah it can be sexy and gratifying simply being close to someone you care for without going all the way.
You are spoiling me with two posts today. I have to tell you that this story has me checking this site two and three times a day which is something I haven’t done in a long time. I love that TIna didn’t back down from Helena and that she was honest with Bette about what took place in her office. Tina knows that no relationship of any kind can exist without trust. If you’re up for another post tonight, I’ll be up for about another hour. Lol! PPS.

I must say that I’m enjoying this journey you are taking us on. I knew that Helena wouldn’t take her leave so easily. Sigh.On a positive note, I totally melted over the pyjama-reading in bed-cuddle time scene. Can they *be* any cuter?!
I knew Helena wouldn’t take it lying down. She sees Bette as her property that she has been able to control for so long. As she can’t stand that Bette will be truly happy with Tina. Info wonder if Helena will play this wicked game until everything falls apart including get own self worth that barely exists.
Just amazing how their relationship is getting stronger and stronger. Tina needs to show Helena a thing or two. We need to see Alpha Bette! :)
