“Come on. Why don’t we go snuggle up with a book?”
“But it’s mid-afternoon,” Tina chuckled, pulled after Bette to the bedroom before they stopped.
“Oh no, I was gonna make you a coffee.”
“No, I really don’t think I need any more adrenaline.”
Bette smiled and led Tina into her room to pull open one of her drawers. The glimpse into the normalcy of a living situation struck Tina in the sweetest way, watching Bette rifle through her pyjama drawer.
“Can I lend you something to wear?”
“We’re wearing something to bed?”
“As much as I want you, I want you to feel better first,” Bette smiled in her own adorable and oblivious way, holding up a shirt and shorts. “These?”
Tina chuckled and caught them successfully, watching Bette pick up her own and leave. “I’ll be right back. Slip under the covers.”
“Bette, you don’t have to do this.”
“Tina, I want to do this. I want to do anything that will cheer you up right now, when you need it the most. Does this displease you? Would you rather we did something else?”
The concern faded into content, and Tina simply waved her off. “Thank you.”
“I’ll be right back. Be dressed, for goodness sake!”
Tina smiled at Bette’s light laughter, and she changed into Bette’s clothes before sitting on the bed to enjoy its comfort. She’d never felt a bed as soft and yet as firm as Bette’s. She always slept so easily on it.
“Are you dressed?”
The absurdity struck Tina comically, but she didn’t comment on Bette’s caution with her nudity. She knew there were untouched issues behind it, so she just pulled the covers up a little further and answered with “Yes.”
“I brought a few books, because I didn’t know what kind you like to read.”
“No, it’s okay. Why don’t you just pick the book you’re reading.”
“But I’m reading all of them.”
Tina chuckled and turned onto her side. “Of course you are.”
Bette walked over and climbed into the bed on the other side, admiring how adorable Tina looked on the other side of her bed – it was as if she belonged there. Tina was even ready for bed. “Don’t make fun, but I like to get into my pyjamas and read at all times of the day, like on the weekends.”

Thank you for the second post today. This story keeps getting better and better. I love that Tina told Bette what happened right away and didn’t let her fear get in the way of keeping Bette informed of Helena’s actions.
Whew caught up! I think the best way for Bette to surpass all her pain is to confront Helena once and for all without fear and put her in her place
Hey GrindRight, So let me get this straight , Helena didn’t know how to satisfy Bette and as a result she lost her .When she realizes Bette is finding happiness with Tina she wishes to destroy their relationship.I guess it’s true you can’t make anyone else happy if you are not happy with yourself. I absolutely loved the bed scene. Yeah it can be sexy and gratifying simply being close to someone you care for without going all the way.
You are spoiling me with two posts today. I have to tell you that this story has me checking this site two and three times a day which is something I haven’t done in a long time. I love that TIna didn’t back down from Helena and that she was honest with Bette about what took place in her office. Tina knows that no relationship of any kind can exist without trust. If you’re up for another post tonight, I’ll be up for about another hour. Lol! PPS.

I must say that I’m enjoying this journey you are taking us on. I knew that Helena wouldn’t take her leave so easily. Sigh.On a positive note, I totally melted over the pyjama-reading in bed-cuddle time scene. Can they *be* any cuter?!
I knew Helena wouldn’t take it lying down. She sees Bette as her property that she has been able to control for so long. As she can’t stand that Bette will be truly happy with Tina. Info wonder if Helena will play this wicked game until everything falls apart including get own self worth that barely exists.
Just amazing how their relationship is getting stronger and stronger. Tina needs to show Helena a thing or two. We need to see Alpha Bette! :)
