    Alice rolled over in bed. She was having trouble sleeping with all the scenarios running figure eights in her head. She could see the moonlight cascading through her blinds, leaving soft and gentle beams painted around the room. Something caught her attention from the corner of her eye.

    She jumped up to her headboard.

    Alice: *****!

    Alice squinted her eyes at the figure standing in her bedroom doorway. Their arms were crossed and they leaned against the frame. The moonlight illuminated nearly their entire body…except for their identity.

    Alice: ***** I forgot to lock the door behind her…What are you doing back here? Came to gloat?

    Shane: AL…I

    Alice:: Shane?

    Shane: Yeah who else were you expecting?

    Alice: No one…I just…where the ***** have you been?

    Alices anger took hold of her as she thought about her night alone.

    Alice: If you were gonna ***** me tonight you could have at least called…I mean God…a real friend would have ***** called Shane.

    Shane lowered her head, but Alice still couldnt see her face.

    Alice: Where were you?

    Shane just stood in the doorway. She turned so that her back was leaning against the frame. She crossed her arms and brought one hand up to cover her face.

    Alice leaned over and turned on the light. She saw Shanes thinning body swimming in hospital scrubs.

    Shane: Turn it off…I dont want it… not tonight

    Alice flipped off the light on the night stand.

    Alice: I want some answers…were you with…

    Shane: I wasnt with her…I swear Al. I wouldnt just go and do that to you.

    Alice: But you do want to go to her right?…youre just waiting to talk to me first?

    Alice saw Shanes body shaking, but couldnt tell if she nodded a Yes or shook her head No.

    Alice: Come sit down…lets just get this over with.

    2. Love Bette and shane,together they are gre great, Love to see Bette so caring. Alice and shane yes. Really hate to tell this we were in the high 70 yesterday and will be today. Rain tho tomorrow. We lived in bangor Ma for about 3 years more snow than I wanted. LOML is from Virginia. so snow ther also But we both loved N E states.THANKS 5 BIG STARS
