As Shane stood outside the door of her apartment complex.. taking a long drag of the cigarette, that wasn’t helping to calm her nerves.. she thought back to the last time she’d been here… almost three months ago… the same day the girls left for Canada… it was never her intention to leave like she had.. she honestly wanted to marry Carmen but after countless comparisons made by everyone about how alike her father she was… it made her doubt… and eventually that doubt turned into fear.. fear she may hurt Carmen further down the line, and that was something she couldn’t do… it wasn’t even an option for her… and upon entering the complex, she reminded herself of what she had come here to do..

When she arrived on the third floor and made the short walk to what use to be her door, she was nervous about what she might find behind those doors… or rather what she wouldn’t find… and with a shaky hand, Shane slowly inserted the key and opened the door.. walking in… her head hung low.. she didn’t see her friends all sitting in various places of living room.. until she heard a sharp gasp… and looked up.. now feeling both scared and relieved at the same time..

"umm… hey.. your here.."Shane rambled uncharacteristically… as she shifted nervously from one foot to the other… this was going to be harder then she thought…

"of course I’m here… its my apartment.." Carmen stated trying to keep her voice even and unfeeling… but that didn’t last long and she decided to try another approach "what you thought I’d leave just because you left me at the fucking alter.. well guess what Shane I’m still here and I’m not leaving.."Carmen almost yelled.. her voice filled with venom as she stood from her place on the couch.. crossing her arms.. not bothering to hide the scowl on her face…

Meanwhile, Alice, Lara, Helena, Jenny, and Max stayed quiet.. looking back and forth between Shane and Carmen.. then at each other.. all of them stuck there, desperately trying to stay out of the way…. afraid of what might happen next..

"no.. that’s not what i meant… I’m s.."Shane began but was stopped by Carmen.. this wasn’t how she picture this happening…
