    The Roommates – 2nd Dimension: Chapter 43

Tina was so caught up in thinking about the effectiveness of the program that she walked right past her girlfriend in the parking lot.

“T!”, Bette called, she’d been leaning against the trunk of her black BMW.

Tina turned around and shook her head, snapping herself out of her daze. She was all smiles when she slid her arms around her lover’s waist and looked into a familiar set of chocolate orbs.

“Hey Babe”, said Bette, a little surprised by Tina’s display of affection.

“Hi Baby. It’s good to see you.”, Tina replied.

    “You have a good time?”

“Yeah, I did. I love this program. Thanks for picking me up.”, said Tina.

“No problem. I love picking you up. Especially when I’m putting you down on top of me.”, said Bette, her eyes flickering with desire.

“Don’t start with me, Bette. We still have dinner and the club tonight.”

“I know. I know. Sometimes I just can’t resist though.”, said Bette.

    “Well, let’s try.”

“Okay, okay. You’re just so tempting.”, said Bette. The look in her lover’s eyes let Tina know her kiss was wanted.

It took a great deal of self-control, but Bette pulled herself away from Tina’s body and the lovers got into the car.

Bette was sliding her key into the ignition when Tina stopped her with her left hand.

Bette looked up, confusion in her gaze. The intensity in Tina’s look sent a chill down her spine.

    “T?”,  she asked.

“Kiss me, Babe”, said Tina, the lust dripping from her husky words.

Bette didn’t wait for confirmation of the request. She leaned in and gently tasted her lover’s lips, relishing in the familiar taste, comforted by the soft, moist skin. Their tongues danced lightly as they shared this soft kiss.

When they separated, both women were all smiles.

    “Thank you, T”, Bette whispered.

“I love you. I knew you needed it.”

“Lucky me. So, are you all ready for dinner? Maybe we can finish up our evening early. Go to bed early”, said Bette, her left eyebrow raised.

Tina slowly licked her lips and said, “Maybe.”

Bette shivered and turned on the car. “You drive me crazy, you know that?”

Tina smiled. “Good. Then I’m doing my job.”

Bette smiled to herself as she put the car in reverse and headed out of the parking lot. She reached for Tina’s hand and held onto it as she maneuvered her way past McKinley Elementary and out to the street.

Neither Bette nor Tina had noticed that a pair of weary brown eyes had been watching them from a 1st floor classroom of the school. Neither had seen Beverly’s smile fall as she watched her daughter’s tutor embrace a tall, caramel woman a little too intimately. Neither had seen the weary, dark eyes narrow as the two young women sat inside the shiny black vehicle and shared a kiss. They were both oblivious to the young mother’s cringing and neither saw her place her hands protectively on her daughter’s shoulders, and hurriedly leave the classroom. And it would have been impossible for the lovers to hear Beverly’s thoughts.

‘That is so nasty. I did not even know this was going on. I don’t want that mess anywhere around my child. I don’t have much, but I do have a sense of decency and self-respect. I can’t give her everything, but I can give her that. She’s getting a new tutor. If I even let her stay in this program.’, she thought.

Courtney’s little legs were struggling to keep up with her mother’s rapid pace. Beverly was moving quickly, as if the speed of her step could erase the images she’d seen. Still holding on to her mother’s hand and being nearly dragged away, Courtney looked over at her mother curiously.

“Mommy, why are we moving so fast?”, she asked.

“We got things to do, baby. Come on, it’s time to get you home.”

“Can I write tonight? Can I write in the journal?”, asked Courtney.

Beverly slowed down a little and pursed her lips before speaking carefully. “We’ll see, Courtney. We’ll see”

    1. That mess?! She was just praising “that mess”!!! Grrrr people anger me so much. I know you have to bring on the drama MTS, but ahhhh. I hate seeing Tina hurt. Poor Courtney. I hope she develops a mind of her own as she grows up.

    2. Well DAMN!

Most women like Beverly always take the moral highroad.
I don’t see her doing something as civilized as talking to Tina 1-on-1 about this.
She is gonna want someone’s head and that someone will be

      “Miss Tina!”

    3. Awww shucks! I was hoping that Beverly would appreciate when someone found true love and happiness, since it seems that she’s raising her dauhter on her own. But, I guess we all saw this one coming. Sorry to say that that’s pretty much true to form how things go. Maybe after the dust settles in a little while, Tina can have a calm civil conversation with Beverly. Hope that Courtney isn’t the one that suffers the most from this. Love your story.

    4. I just shake my head and think to myself “what the fuck is wrong with people?” Get the blinders off woman and get caught up with the real world. Probably the best thing that could have happened to her little girl and her backward thinking takes a front seat. Sorry for ranting, but homophobic people irk me to no end. Great story by the way.

    5. just for the record, I hate small minded people. Its funny the fear they have of something so beautiful. But tina is strong and loves her some bette. It will be difficult but … mts – i have a seatbelt but i dont need a coffin. heehee. this was wonderful.

    6. Ya know Beverly should be grateful that Tina is such a positive influence in Courtney’s life and that she’s helping her. Tina’s sexual orientation has nothing to do with her teaching abilities. And in my opinion, gay people are smarter anyway lol Looks like things are guna get messy ek

    7. Okay, love this story but very saddened by this turn of events. It’s always innocent kids that suffer at the errors of parentst. I wish you would reconsider where you were going with this – there must be others ways to discuss homophobia.

    8. Damn just when it was getting quiet, here comes the drama. Oh well buckle your seatbelts. I hope Tina’s heart isn;t too broken by this mother’s attitude. or that she’ll think about how her parents will react to her coming out. Great story as always, so glad you’re back

    9. good to have u back, damn every single time things start 2 look up a whole bunch of drama comes bach down to ur lovely girls, wait till tina goes back 2 the elementary shcool, besides why does it matter if tina is gay, hey as long as she is a good influence on courtney, as it’s obvious she is. thanx 4 the post.

    10. AHHH! I HATE CLOSE MINDED PEOPLE!!! Why does it matter, really? Sheesh. . love this story though . .I hope that B&T continue to be who they are together even in public. . .because no matter what they will always have to face people who do not agree with their lifestyle, this will be such a life lesson for them. Does that make sense? HAha, anyway. . .please post soon!

    11. Hey MTS,

Looks like Tin is in for a turbulent time. After nurturing and supporting Bette through her time of despair, I think its pay back time. Big style!

I think that you have plenty of experience to highlight the small mindedness of some people and how this can destroy lives and relationships.

A time to be strong and deflect the hatred of the ignorant.

As ever, this is a piece of art. A master stroke of a master’s brush.

You have crafted these characters and event with such genius that I applaud you.

I will be lurking in the background awaiting your next installement.

      Thank you.
