    The Roommates: Chapter 25

She finished scribbling and looked at Tina. But standard procedure is to run a urinalysis and blood test. So, Im going to have you give a urine sample and then Ill have a nurse come and draw some blood. After that, we can look over your urinalysis results and discuss your options. Does that sound good?

Tina nodded and Dr. Murphy shared a few more words with Tracy before heading out of the room. A nurse came into the room and took a few vials of blood from Tinas arm and left her with a specimen cup. A few minutes later, Tina was squatting over the cup and cursing her recklessness. She cleaned up and started washing her hands, looking at her reflection in the mirror.

She sighed deeply. I really miss Bette. She always knows what to say to make me feel better and I really need her right now. Im going through this again and she isnt here to hold me or calm me down.

Tina walked back to her room with her urine in hand, wondering why Bette hadnt called her back last night. She knew that her best friend was probably exhausted and frazzled after such an extended period of time in San Diego with Melvin. But she missed Bette and thought it was odd that she hadnt heard from her. Tina wondered if everything was okay with Bette as she returned to her seat on the exam table.

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, Dr. Murphy knocked on the door again and re-entered the room. The heavy-set brunette smiled tightly at Tina and looked down at her files. Well ladies, weve run Tinas urine and our results show that she is not pregnant.

Tina was sure she had misunderstood. What?, she asked.

The results show an absence of any pregnancy hormone in your urine. Were also going to send your blood work out and have the results for that in a few days. However, right now, it appears as though your prior test may have been incorrect., said Dr. Murphy.

So, Tina isnt pregnant?, asked Tracy.

Dr. Murphy shook her head no. No, I dont believe she is. Ill confirm it with the blood test, but it doesnt seem as though shes pregnant.

    3. I would NEVER want my mom in the actual room with me during the appointment! I’d rather jump off a bridge! I’m glad that a baby in the dorm room “what if” scenario is put to rest. I’m looking forward to some B & T loving!

    4. Great story, great chapter, and great news!!! Tina’s not pregnant!!! Sorry, for not commenting after prior to this, but I get so caught up in reading the chapters, especially when you post more than one, I just keep scrolling to see if you’ve posted more, and forget to comment.
