    Bette gets some things off her chest.

    Tina smiled slightly. Sidney, like I said, I dont know what the two of you discussed. But, I want you to know that Bette really did give you all she could. I.I wanted to be with her weeks ago, but she was committed to you. Did she talk to you about her mom?

    Sidney shook her head. Not really. Just that she had gotten remarried and wasnt really around much any more.

    Tina chewed her lip nervously; surprised that Bette hadnt shared this bit of her past with Sidney. Well, she places a lot of pressure on herself when it comes to relationships. Shes very serious about commitment. She felt horrible, like shed really let you down. She never meant to hurt you. She did everything she could to be faithful to you.

    Sidney held back her tears and looked away. They fell into an uncomfortable silence and Tina felt as if shed overstepped her bounds and stood to leave.

    Tina?, said Sidney.

    Yeah.

    Thanks for telling me that. I dont even deserve to know that much. I hope things get better with Bette. Let me know if I can help.

    Tina nodded. I will. Ill see you around.

    As she walked away and made it back her meeting, the scattered fragments of Bettes undoing began to make sense. Discussing Bettes mom with Sidney had jarred Tinas memory. Tina realized that Bettes depression had little to do with Sidney and everything to do with Tina.

    By the time Tina had worked up the courage to discuss things with Bette, it was late in the evening. Theyd gone to dinner and then on to the movies. Tina had been subtly studying Bette throughout the night as she enjoyed her girlfriends company. Tonight there had been glimpses of the true Bette. The caramel beauty had been attentive and engaged in their dinner conversation. Tina had even seen her smile and laugh during the comedy theyd chosen. And at the end of the evening, they had made it to Bettes car on their way back to campus when Bette gently pulled on Tinas hand and pulled the beautiful blonde into her arms. Shed held her tightly and whispered, I love you, T, before kissing her lips and opening the passenger-side door.

    6. i just found this site last week..so it’s been everyday lunch break starting with ch.1 and i am finally caught up.. it just makes me sad for the bette and tina on the show.. although the last episode was encouraging. i love the story, thanks.

I have to agree with Wayout you have really gotten in depth with your characters which makes the story so much more interesting and enjoyable, as always I love this story. This is my first comment on your on going story but just to let you know I think it is one of the best out there and I always look forward to another great chapter. Keep up the great work girl!***

    20. Oh, for heaven’s sake, is there any point to commenting any more? One chapter is as good as or better than the last and I’m running out of things to say. Okay, here. I love that your characters are so fully drawn. There’s just no skimming the surface here, each character is complex and multifaceted, and their interactions are complete and believable. Good Lord, MTS, I’m just going to have to quit. Because you’re rendering me speechless (and that’s quite an accomplishment!). Oh, golly, thanks for posting. Um, well, I love this story. ‘Nuff said.
