    The Set Up (16)

    “That’s absurd.”

    “Would it be easier, though?”

“Bette … I’m not trying to hide you.”

“Why not?” Bette teased, “I’m a catch.”

“Shhh,” Tina chuckled, feeling uncomfortable with all of the thoughts flooding through her mind. She knew what Bette was thinking, and it was making her blush again.

“I’ll be waiting out in the parking lot,” Bette whispered, leaning over to whisper. “Imagine me here after-hours …” That was all she would say before she slipped out, winking back at Tina before she was gone.

Alice had just finished an enjoyable chat with the school’s vice-principal when she’d found her way back to her classroom – looking absent-mindedly out the window. She gravitated towards it when something caught her eye – an attractive woman in a business suit. Then Alice’s eyes bugged out. Bette Porter?! What the hell would she be doing here?! Bette was well-known in the lesbian community as a player.

But by the time Alice went over to check her phone and came back to the window, Bette was gone. She went down to the staff room to talk with a number of other teachers, wondering if she could catch Tina and warn her about the infamous player who had been waiting on school property. She didn’t want the vice principal to fall into the same, naïve trap she had years ago.

Tina walked into the diner with Bette, chuckling at one of the brunette’s many comments about how beautiful she looked.

“We didn’t need to go so far,” Tina smiled, directed by the hostess to their table. “I just meant I didn’t want to dine right aside the school, that’s all.”

“I would eat in a cave for you,” Bette smiled back, sitting across from the woman she’d come to love. At times, she couldn’t imagine her life the way it had been anymore. Had she ever really been that person?

“So what are we having to eat?” Tina asked, putting up her menu only to have Bette pull it away from her.

    “That means I can decide?”

“No,” Tina laughed, pulling it back. “I can order my own food, thank you very much. I’m just … used to dining with Angelica, I guess.”

“You’ve eaten out with me before.” Both ignored the double entendre there, keeping their smiled to themselves.

    1. Awesome chapter. Before I rated it there were 3 stars. People are spiteful.I’ve read drivel on here that truly worth only 2-3 stars but not your work at all.

    2. I love the tone of your story and the level of drama you bring. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being Magic Mountain Rollercoaster ride/heart attack inducing drama) you’re an easy -10. Like my little play with numbers. I can see each characters struggle and you illustrate it so beautifully. I saw a potential situation here but you gave our girls the wisdom and understanding to avoid. Loved it GR 😍 you just keep rocking my world. Thank you 😘

    3. I’m completely taken with this story I have to say. I love how each character is written to a point where I’m completely intuned to each one. I love how I’m able to see the way B & T’s relationship started, progressed and continues to grow. I agree with talaula in the sense that our girls managed to work their way out of a situation that could have ended differently. I guess that shows how far each woman has come. Thank you, GR .. you’ve always been a favorite writer of mine

    4. yeah! you continue with the super hot dirty talk and i must say is very well received ha! but i’ll be honest with you,i don’t like Tina, maybe because i don’t like people with personalities such as Tina,i can’t understand her, there are attitudes or actions from her that seem on purpose, i don’t know.i feel that Bette is really trying to adjust to Tina’s life, for love and need, but i don’t feel the same from Tina’s side and i think Bette should not to put Tina on a pedestal, for me that’s never a good thing in a relationship.GREAT STORY WITH AMAZING WRITING FROM THE SUPER SUPER TALENTED GR,I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU!pd:this is for Seduction, well said, i agree with everything you wrote, i really like the way to think!Greetings!

    5. Hello GrindRight, well I finally recovered from the last chapter (Mercy). Bette is defiantly showing signs of her transformation from player to lover. Not an easy transition. Much discipline and self-denial is required. Although she had the desire to do what was best for Tina, the desire to fulfill her lust was also present. Many situations can occur in a relationship such as theirs requiring her to constantly choose whether she is Bette the lover or Bette the player. Bette the Player after having lunch with Tina would have taken her back to her home and F—– the Sh– out of her. She has the power to do so. However, Bette the lover got on her knees and apologized to Tina for her disrespectful behavior. As always, I am looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for posting GrindRight.

    6. Wow! Thanks GR for another amazing update! :-) looks like the “wife” thing will be a new mantra for the next level ;-) I wonder about Alice’s advise later to Tina… PPVS :-) and thanks! :-)

    7. I hope Alice doesn’t screw with thier relationship, she probably only knows Bette by her reputation anyway. Bette already told Tina she used to be a player so she shouldn’t flip when Al drops her bomb. Love the fic PPS
