    Through The Years Chapter 3

Bette nodded her head ”Ok well my Mom is going to pick me up from Ms. Elise’s”

    Tina turned to her mother

”Mom? I asked Bette to come to my sleepover Friday night. That’s ok right?”

”Of course it is. Bette sweetie if you can come you can just bring an overnight bag and leave it with me and you can go home with us after school ok?”

”Yes I will. I will have to ask my parents first.” Bette replied

”Did you enjoy your first day?” Ms Kennard asked as she stopped at a red light waiting for it change.

”Yes I did. Tina showed me around and even introduced me to a corn dog at the festival” Bette answered earning a giggle from Tina.

”Yes I did and she ate it so fast Mom. It was so funny” Tina added still giggling.

”Well it was good. I couldn’t help it” Bette replied giggling along with Tina.

”Sounds like you two had a good time then. And Bette we are here” Mrs. Kennard announced coming to a stop as Bette looked out of the window at the entrance of Ms. Elise’s studio.

”Thanks Ms. Kennard and I’ll see you tomorrow Tina” Bette said as she got out of the car and shut the door.

”Bye Bette” Tina yelled out waving her hand as the car pulled off down the street.

Bette waved back and turned to see Ms. Elise standing at the door waiting on her.

”I was getting worried you weren’t going to show up” Ms Elise called out as Bette walked up to her and entered into the studio

    ”Sorry Ms. Elise”

”It’s ok dear. I’m just glad you are here. We have a lot to do before your recital next month. I see you have met Christina. You two are my best students.”

”Really? We are giving our recital the same night she told me” Bette replied sitting down at the piano and putting her book sack on the floor.

Ms. Elise sat down next to Bette and opened up the music sheet.

”Yes you are. Now let’s go over this section right here. Last time you kept missing these chords here. So let’s start at this riff and move into these chords ok”

    2. Thanks! This is so different but I like it! About time Maxine is a strong woman in a story! All stories I’ve read she has always being weak and Melvin takes Bette from her. I pray not in this story! PPS

    3. Wow! Maxine seems to be a woman
with a lot of attitude, she had a lot of courage
      to let Melvin.
His story is already creating rhythm.
      10 stars.

    4. Wow, Maxime, you did the right thing, Melvin is a asshole, i hope she really can win the fight.

Poor Bette, or maybe lucky Bette, she maybe can finally live the life of a normal kids life.

      Great update!
