Sasha awakens, stretches and jumps out of bed. She walks to the immense window in front of the bed, takes a deep breath and opens the curtains. She feels like dying because the weather is even worse than yesterday. She sits down at the foot of the bed and stays there, staring fixedly at the window, thinking that she may not even be able to be in L.A on Sunday like she promised Carmen. Someone is knocking at the door. She gets up, wondering who it could be. She opens the door. It’s Isabella.

"Good morning."

Sasha, a little surprised: "Good? Mmmh….did something happen?

Isabella, laughing: "Good morning, Isabella, please come in. Do you treat your girlfriend this way?"

Sasha: "No, excuse me." She asks her to come in. Isabella does and sits down on the bed. Sasha doesn’t understand what she’s doing in her room yet. "Seems like you just got up… since you’re still wearing the hotel bathrobe."

Isabella: "No, I’ve been up more than an hour, but I decided to take a bath and you know I love spend a lot of time in the tub."

Sasha: "OK, so … what are you doing here? Because I don’t think you just came to tell me that you got up early to take a bath."

Isabella: "No, you’re right. I came here because I wanted to talk to someone. Don’t tell me I woke you up?" She asks Sasha to sit down beside her.

Sasha sits down and says: "No, I was awake already." She stays silent, looking at the window sadly.

Isabella looks at her and says: "I really don’t understand what you’re doing here. Why didn’t you postpone the trip, Sasha? It’s no good to spend your birthday without the one you love…. Carmen is going to be so sad today."

Sasha doesn’t understand how she can say that. She claps her hands and says sarcastically, "Thanks for your support!!" She gets up. "I tried to postpone this damned trip a few days ago but I couldn’t, and I don’t need you telling me that Carmen is going to be really sad … Why do you think I’m feeling so bad? But I have a hunch that the rain going to stop soon and finally the sun will come out over this fucking island."
