The energy of the room was buzzing with an anticipation that couldn’t be fully described. Helena could feel a fire burning inside of herself that wouldn’t cease with time, no matter how she had tried to ignore it. She brought her hands down her own stomach with her eyes closed, somehow trying to ease the ache there.
